Well, I have been a member for a short time here in AGO, and finally I was able to do my first Show-n-Shine AG standards

Weather here in NE Ohio got milder so I was able to finally try my new PB stuff plus wash the car! You gotta love PB, it's the best(at least for me so far)! I started around 9:30am and it was barely above freezing point, so imagine how my hands were... Anyways, here's the process:

Clean tires with Turtle Wax Hard Shell Tire & Wheel Cleaner
Clean engine Simple Green 10:1 (No dressing to it)

Wash with Turtle Wax Platinum Car Wash and conditioner
Clay with Rightlook's Light Clay and using TW Car wash as lube(the clay held up great!)
Wash again
Dress tires with Mother's FX Tire Shine
Dress wells with AA on plastics and WD-40 on exposed areas (gives a nice satin shine)
PB Polish w/Carnauba blue by hand

No PC yet, but saving for it...
Clean glass with Coastal Glas cleaner (cheapo of Stoners, but works as good)
Admire...

Take Ibuprofen....

I wasn't able to apply Natty's blue since it got dark on me and it was starting to fog at 5:30...whoppee... Interior will be done tomorrow since I concentrated on the exterior today, and I will post pics of it tomorrow, but here's the plan:

Use Rainbow E2 Vacuum to vacum the whole interior
Folex on mats
Simple Green 10:1 on plastics
Meguiar's Quick interior Detailer on plastics
Coastal Glass Cleaner on glass

Well, here are the pics, Hope you enjoy as much as I did doing it!

Feed back please Thanks for looking!

Joey.......Very nice job!
I once also used WD-40 on wheel wells and in the engine bay! Those tires look awesome with that FX on them. Nice work and we appreciate your time to post such a detailed write-up.

Thanks Justin, those words coming from you are a very nice compliment! I usually use WD-40 on the engine too, but it leaves a little too shiny coat there, and I'm looking for a more stain finish. I will buy soon Hyper-dressing and cut it 4:1 to get the look I want. Thanks for your feedback!

Hyper Dressing is the best deal out there. It's dilution ratios make it a deal. Lasts well too.
Thanks bro!

Looks great. By the way, is that snow in the second picture? That would mean it is too cold. Any pictures of interior?

Nah, not snow, just frost from the mix of fog and low temperatures we had the night before. Interior pics will come today, since I just concentrated on the exterior yesterday and it got dark on me.

Thanks for the compliments and expect interior pics today!:Picture:

You did a nice turnaround the end results left the car with plenty of depth and reflection and darkened the paint..you did a great job..:applause:

You done an outstanding job there. The car looks awesome! Great right up. The hood reflection is awesome. Do like the engine shot too. Nice shine on the tires. Let us know if the FX stays on the tires.

Good job bigfoot, the reflection on the hood was crystal clear..:awesome:

Wow good job bigfoot. So you mentioned that you do not have a PC..so you did this by hand? I'm assuming that you didn't do any swirl removal, I take it the paint was still good?

Well I enjoyed your write up, it helps new people like my self. Looking forward for the interior...oh and the engine looks really good.

Thanks everybody for your nice words and the warm welcome! Here are 2 more pics; 1 of them showing some more reflection, and the second one giving you an idea how dirty the interior was. I have a Rainbow vacuum so you can see clearly how dirty the thing was. Sorry, no before pics of the dirty interior...:o

Nica, yes, everything was done by hand, and no swirl removal was done. The PwCB from PB did a nice job hiding some of them, but not all... I'm saving to buy the PC and pads hopefully by early spring, so I can do swirl removal.

Now, to the pics!

See how dirty my car was???? Shame on me...

Yes, all without a PC... now, where can I get Ibuprofen by the truckload??

I got a generic question, Bigfoot did his detail by hand. His results are good (in my opinion they are good) do you guys think a PC would have improved his results? I'm only speaking about the waxing part, the swirl removal I'm sure the PC would definitely come in handy but for simply waxing isn't it better with a PC?

In my personal opinion, yes. Why? Well, since with the PC you can work the wax better than with the hand, you can get more RPM's and the wax will distribute more even. Hands down, yes, the PC would've done a better job!

Joey:cheers:

P.D. I'm saving to buy the PC soon!
