Here is my first post in the show n' shine section :xyxthumbs:
Spent a few hours Saturday cleaning up the 'fun' car. I wanted to take off what I had on there before and start fresh.
Previous products used were DoDo Juice Lime Prime, Meguiars Final Inspection, and it was topped with a whole sample tin of DoDo Juice Rain Forest Rub. I got about 2 applications out of the Rain Forest Rub (waited 24hrs between applications). Im not sure what it was but the Rain Forest Rub just didnt do it for me. It was streaky, hard to apply evenly, maybe one of their other products would have worked better? I really liked the Lime Prime though!
So I started off with Meguiars car wash, 3M Perfect-it III Clay, and Meguiars Hot Rims
Pulled in to the Garage for the rest
Trying to get rid of some water spots/oxidation
I broke out the PC7424XP, green foam pad, and a polish that will remain nameless and got to work. Speed 2 to spread the product, speed 5 to polish
On the fly pad cleaning
After reading some on Autogeek, I HAD to track down some Meguiars #16!! It was a lot softer than I expected it to be considering it came in a tin. I put it in the fridge to thicken it up a little, as soft as it was I would have wasted a TON of product and probably would have put it on way too thick. I applied the #16 with a black foam pad and speed 3 on the PC. A little goes a long way with this stuff!
Finished up and ready to show off!
Hello Autogeek!!
water spots GONE
Thoughts, well Im in LOVE with #16!!! I need some different lighting to take better pics, my LED shop light wasn't working very well. I should invest in some smaller pads, currently using all 6.5in. I have used my PC maybe 5 times, still learning new things as I go. My car has 161K miles, paint is orginal except the front bumper.
