Hey guys so ive been into detailing for a few years now and finally getting myself some real tools.

Ive got myself a few clay kits, bunch of waxes such as swissvvax , quality car soaps, high quality microfibers etc.

My only real problem came when it was time for polishing, swirls etc.

So ive found myself to purchase a few things and wanted to get some advice on if this is where i should be spending my money.

Porter Cable 7424XP Variable Speed Polisher
Backing plate for PC (5 inch)
32 oz. Menzerna Super Intensive Polish (medium polish)
32 oz. Menzerna Nano Polish PO 106 FA (final polish)
Orange Foam Pad 5.5 inch
Green Foam Pad 5.5 inch
Blue Foam Pad 5.5 inch
Black Foam Pad 5.5 inch

My main focus is to take away swirls and some bad polishing trails left by some older detailers that did work on my car.
My car is a 2002 BMW 325i in metallic blue and a 2010 BMW 335i in metallic black and a CLK430 coupe in jet black.
My main focus is on my metallic blue bmw 325i sedan, it has many swirls and some old bad detailers polshing marks he did with a machine i want to take out.

thanks alot for all the help.

Your list looks great! Only thing I would change personally is a griots da for the polisher, but you can still get amazing results with the pc, just seems to beat my hands up more after hours of prolonged use

Great list. The PC 7424XP is going to make you VERY happy. Unless you are going to be using it commercially, the 7424XP will do just fine.

Thanks alot guys. Ive been reading alot behind the scenes and hope to be get to work asap... alot of knowledge around after watching alot of videos and reading alot on this forum and others.
