it smells horrible and the smell lingers for a while to be honest. I agree lol. I always wear gloves so the smell doesnt stay in my skin.
 
It really does smell like 1988 hair perm. Every time I get it out I start singing Poison's "talk dirty to me" to myself.
 
Reload is apparently worse then Iron X. I have Iron X Paste and I should take a whiff
 
I don't wear a face mask, but I do wear nitrile gloves.

If it's anything like Sonax wheel cleaner you deffinently need a mask.

Jenn, I agree about the smell. Reminded me of an old beauty shop with old ladies getting perms
 
smells like that because it contains sodium thioglycolate which reacts with iron particles to change color, and also main ingredient in perms....i researched what makes these wheel cleaners turn purple....

So you are suggesting that Iron Man shouldn't get a perm??
 
I have started getting into the habit of wearing a chemical respirator for any noxious chemicals I use that I don't want to be breathing in. Probably a bit on the paranoid side, but better IMO than the alternative.
 
I eat it on my toast!!Then i wash it down with Sonax wheel cleaner then i brush my teeth with Wenol and Rinse with Opc....mmmm tasty
 
You guys\gals know we are all going to have some strange cancer in 20 years, right?

It's worth it. :props: If most of us keep the cars we have now in tip top shape, we can sell them in 20 years and pay for the hospital bills. :D
