My life as a storm chaser...

Yea, I may be trying to get a local community a supply of weather radios for every home. It'll be interesting and worth it if you ask me.

Its pointless to sound them for anything but a tornado if you ask me, kinda like crying wolf!

Yep. I have one in my home actually. Stays on 24/7 and goes off if there is severe weather. Works great! Still doesn't do me any good on the bike though! LOL. Although, in theory, the weather apps will send a notification so if I check my phone, I'll see it.

By the way, even riding through the hail, I couldn't find one chip in the paint or one nick in the windshield. That sucker is tough!

LOL ya slight problem with being on a bike lol. Damn, thats one tough bike. My saturn suffered softball size hail once lol...that was interesting. It'd make most people here cry.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I was just sure I'd have chips in the fender at least. But none! I suspect though that the paint on this bike is really hard. Motorcycles are under a LOT less scrutiny, compared to car manufacturers. I suspect they can get away with the less environmentally friendly good stuff. Heck, there's no cat converters (some bikes have them but they aren't required, I don't think, in any state; though California does not allow you to remove them IF the bike came equipped with them), there's no o2 sensors, basically no emissions stuff. Turn signals aren't even mandatory.

Here's my baby!

We had some bad flooding this spring. Under the water there is a place I meet with some other riding buddies every week during the summer. There's a boat ramp, parking lot; even a pavillion! I rode all the way to the edge of the water to take a pic. Some people were looking at be funny as I was riding towards the water! :P.

The bags and tour-pak need to be painted to match the bike but I don't think they look bad now, just not ideal. I've considered spraying plasti-dip on those parts to give them a matte look thinking that might match the blue/silver better by matching the black leather seat and tank bib.

The road was closed. Except the barricades and signs were also engulfed in the water...

Awesome pics !!

I've always been amazed with the violence Mother Nature can unleash. I volunteered a weekend this past June in Moore OK. It was an eye opening expeirence for sure

Yea, to see the devastation that basically wind can cause is insane.

Thanks again!
