My Mustang on Race Ramps

I assume you mean wheel chocks and not jack stands.
•Nope...I meant jack stands.

•I'm not crawling underneath a ton and a half, or more, of a car setting totally upon Race Ramps and their Wheel Cribs...without that additional safety feature.

•It's not just my Personal Preference. Thus:

Ah. Well, that would only work for race ramps with a removable ramp. My RR-40's don't do that, so I don't think it is possible to use jack stands in conjunction with the ramps.

These are great ramps. They do not slip or budge at all. And they are light. I beleive they are made of some sort of foam composite and then coated.

While I highly recommend using wheel chocks to prevent the car from rolling, it is not necessary to use a jack or jack stand in addition to these ramps as long as one is not putting something that exceeds the weight capacity on the ramp. Using the ramp is to prevent having to use a jack or jack stands, at least thats why I got them!

With that said, when I do jack up my car I always use jack stands in conjuction with a jack, but do not feel the need to do so with these ramps.

Personally I feel its only a matter of time before the price comes way down with competition. I fail to see how these should cost 10-20x what the ramps at the auto parts store cost, considering even the longest ones only have 2-3x the material. I realize marketing and development costs must be taken into account, but there seems to be an extreme markup.

Yeah, the race ramps I've seen are well over $300, crazy!
