What did I get into.

And I volunteer for this Job.

I don't know how some people can stand it. Its not even mine and it drives me nuts....so I volunteered to clean it up for them.....What Was I Thinking !!

Looks like I have my work cut out for me for a couple nights.
I guess it will be good practice.

I pulled all the seats....gave it a good vacuum and started on the drivers seat.

Before

After Folex and a good rinse and vacuum.

It ain't perfect but its a huge improvement. Looks like I'm on my way.

I will post some more afters Later.....If I make it :)

Looking amazing so far and yeah you got yourself into a very big pinch but hey it will pay off cause they'll tell everyone and before you know it you may have a customers lined up and if not atleast you will have some work to showcase good luck and keep up the great hard work

Well I made it through it. 14 hrs worth....what a difference.

Just a little disappointed though....delivered the car 4 days ago and haven't gotten a " Thank You " or any thing

Guess I won't be doing any volunteer work anytime soon. But I have some good before / after shots.

I know it isn't perfect but quite a difference.
Thanks for looking :xyxthumbs:

I've had this happen. Very discouraging that people are so thoughtless

I encourage you not to give up on volunteering. Find another avenue where people will appreciate your efforts. (i.e. not detailing related)

Great job by the way :props:

:dblthumb2: Great before/after shots, bummer on the no thank you.

Looked like quite some work there.

Nice save indeed!! :props:

If you don't mind me asking, what chemicals and equipment did you use to resurrect this interior?

WOW!!! Awesome work! I'd like to say "THANK YOU" on behalf of the unappreciative person that you worked so hard to clean that mess up for!

Great work turning around this filthy interior.

I would be sceptical though, to do what you did, for a person who let their interior of their car get to that stage. Next thing you know all your hard work will be gone in just a few weeks.

Not even a Thank You....???

I hope it won't.

Amazing job:xyxthumbs:

try using some carpit die next time will get it back to new looking.the rest looks good I hate doing the insides of cars like this.Bet they live up north and drive it 100mils a day and real cold out side.

Uh, first, great job. You got that thing looking respectable.

Second,....how and why did you 'volunteer' your services? Was it a school raffle or something. Church thing?

In the past I've thought of donating a detail so my kids Little League can raise money by raffling off the detail.

Do yourself a favor. Reach in your wallet and give $100 instead

Amazing results, well done. Also curious as to what your process was on the interior. Did you use a steamer at all?

Thanks for all the encouraging words...it was a job...but I did enjoy doing it and was pleased with the results.

I did see the person today and they asked me...

"What did you do with My car ? " it wasn't the car they left in the driveway. They were very pleased with it.

Guess I was a little quick to judge on the appreciation call....any way...asked what I charged because there daughter would like to get her husbands car done for Fathers Day.

I told them...it depends on what kind of shape its in...I would look at it first. :)

Bobby...and others..the process I used

On the seats:
Folex
small agitation brush
spray water bottle for rinsing
and my Vacuum

I would spray Folex on
brush a little
let it sit
spray with water pretty generously and vacuum...kind of like a poor mans extraction.
Worked like a charm :xyxthumbs:

On all the plastic:
DP interior cleaner
small brush
tooth brush
a lot of microfiber towels
and then followed it up with DP interior protectant.

Carpet:
Folex
agitation brush
spray water bottle
vacuum
the same way I did the seats
had to flush the real dirty places with water while I was holding the vacuum on it.

That's probably why it took so long.....I might have to invest in some new cleaning tools.

The reason I volunteered to do it...

I have seen you guys post vehicles like this.... the before and after shots.... and have been blown away with the turn arounds that I'v seen.

So when I saw this I wanted to test my desire/talent and see what I could do....to use the knowledge that I have learned here.

I guess it bugged me to see them drive something like that
Its the Detailers Mind set in me I guess.

Thanks again for all the encouraging words :dblthumb2:

Great turnaround!
How people let their belongings get like that is a shame.

Bravo on the seats! I hate those HHR/Chevy seats. I can never seem to get the stains to disappear they would always come back a day or so later.
