Today I received my Griots DA. It is raining in So Cal, so what is a guy to do? Wash a portion of the hood between rain drops to try out the polisher of course! I had a little leftover Zaino AIO to play with and used a white pad. Now I am ready to do it for real. Here is my plan, feedback please:

Vehicle: 05 Ford Expedition, green with beige side panels.

Condition: Light swirls on the hood, a few light swirls on some body panels. Overall, I would consider the paint in good shape.

Plan:
  1. Wash with Dawn (this time not in the rain)
  2. Clay
  3. Polish with Pinnalce Advance Swirl Remover using LC orange pad. I ordered a 2oz sample. Will that be enough considering it is a large SUV and pad absorbtion?
  4. Polish with Pinnalce Advance Finish Polish using LC white pad (2oz sample)
  5. Apply Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Car Wax with LC blue pad (2oz sample). Hmmm, I am waxing an SUV, wonder if a "car" wax will still work
This is overkill for my wife's daily driver, but I want to practice. Then I can work on my Acura!

Feed back please

Sounds like a solid plan, I do question an Ford Expedition and 2oz. of product. You can do a panel at a time and see how far the product goes. With Corrections it takes more time and most times more product depending how bad the swirls and correction level needed.

sorry man, you won't finish with 2 oz. maybe just do the hood and see how it looks. Good luck.
