My new car: 2002 Cadillac DTS

Didn’t they kill the Impala once before? Like in the late 90’s before they came back with a much smaller millennial sized version of it?

They’ve sold 109,000 Chevy Cruze cars so far this year. I guess that wasn’t enough to keep it around...

Yeah, I think you're right, when the killed off the RWD version, they stopped making them for a while before they came back with the FWD one. This seems to be more of a shift from cars to trucks/SUV's, although they did say the steel tariffs were having an effect on GM. I mean Ford is dropping all their cars except the Mustang and one other that I can't remember, to focus on trucks/SUV's.

You said it without knowing it. Lol. It’s the Ford Focus.

I hate Crossovers.

Been years since they’ve made Coupe de Villes now.

Yup, 91 or 92 was the last year for them...

92' was the last year because the Northstar debuted in 1993

Yea but there’s a bit of confusion, because for example the 92’ Eldorado & Seville were redesigned for 92’ yet didn’t get the Northstar till next year. So since they let those 2 redesigned cars live a year without their intended engine maybe they could’ve done the same thing to the Deville, that’s why I wasn’t sure if they redesigned it minus the Northstar for 1992.

@Klasse Act. Hey buddy, turns out 1993 was the last year for the Coupe Deville... That body style for the Deville was from 1989-1993.

The 32 valve Northstar V8 made its debut in 1993, but it was only available on the Eldorado, Seville, and Allante. The Northstar wasn’t available on Deville until the following year, when the completely redesigned 1994 Sedan Deville and Deville Concours were introduced.

1993 was the last year for the Cadillac Coupe Deville, and they all came with the 4.9 Liter V8 Engine.

...So that explains what I meant about there being a bit of confusion.

The 92' STS had a 4.9L PFI and the 93' had the Northstar, same cars, different engines.

Yes, we knew that... I used to own a 92’ Eldorado Touring Coupe.

...But we were talking about Devilles.

I wouldn’t mind owning a ‘93 Coupe de Ville too, I just have no space :(
