My New Car - 2016 Subaru WRX

Great choice!!

Owner of a 2011 Blue WRX here, Love it!!!

Still struggling to find a protectant to make the shine POP.. the factory orange peel drives me crazy. I've been using Collinite 845.

Gloss coat look like it works great!

It will be awesome to see what product you find most successful for the subaru paint

that color looks phenomenal! Now paint some of that chrome in the headlights black!

Isn't this news suppose to drop on Saturday  ??

Congrats Nick!!! Sweet ride, love the red color. Nothing like some all-wheel drive, and a little boost to go with it! I want one.

:dblthumb2:

Congrats on the new ride Nick but....

Honda has perf parts for the CR-Z that take power to 197 hp, i.e. factory supercharger and exhaust w/ custom rear diffusor, even a BBK is available. The only reason I mention this and I know it doesn't matter know is that you asked about the CR-Z previously.

Hopefully you bring the WRX out to the Dragon with us next year, I got one AG'er to come out with us this year, maybe next year we can double that:props:

I'm sure some rims are in order, what are you thinking?

Big congratulations Nick!!
Great to see you increasing the fun factor with each car purchase :xyxthumbs:

Congrats on the new car, I got a 2016 ice silver wrx last month and also used opti gloss on it, Now I'm ready to get past the 1000 mile break in so I can actually get it over 4000 rpm's

congrats nick i hope i can get a ride when i see you in a few days saweeet !!!!

Looks great Nick. I, for one, like stock wheels. Sometimes aftermarket wheels get too gaudy. Fine line between tasteful and let's just say, not so tasteful. Breaking that thing in is tough I'm sure. I'm in the process of breaking in my new Harley.

Congratulations on the new car. Looks fantastic. TRY to keep it under 100. At least for the break in.

Guys and gals, I'm no longer a member of the VTEC club. The weekend before last I drove by my local Subaru dealer and this mysterious force steered me into the parking lot. As I gravitated towards a bright red WRX, a salesman approached and asked me if I wanted to take it for a spin. You can guess what happened next.

It was tough saying goodbye to the Civic, but that feeling quickly fades away as the turbo in the WRX spools up and pushes me into the seat. :dblthumb2:

Last weekend I gave it a complete detail. I polished it with HD Polish (it didn't have any swirls, surprisingly) and coated it with a combination of Optimum Gloss Coat and various prototype coatings.

Awesome ride! Did you tape things off before applying HD Polish?

Congrats, it's beautiful! I don't ever see any of the red ones around here

Congrats on the new ride, it is sharp looking color.

Subarus are amazing. Enjoy it in the best of health. Now tell me about the prototype coatings.

Sweet !!!

Nick, You want to run? I think I have a chance with my new GTI....

I think I have a chance with my new GTI...

Stock for stock, the WRX is faster. A stage I or II tune on the GTI and the WRX can't keep up with the hatch. Standing start, though, and the GTI's wheelspin is enough to keep it close. Sticky tires on the GTI and it's a win.

We have a nice family garage with both cars. ;) :xyxthumbs:

Congrats sir! Can't wait to see it at cars and coffee this Saturday!

Nick said he will be offering rides to everyone up and down the street, and into the field next door to do some AWD drifting demonstrations.
