The next one I want to get is the 67 big block, side pipes, convertible, ralley wheels, aqua blue and white. four speed.

Nice !! BTW, what is that street rod in front of the 58 vette ?

Very nice Dennis. I love that color. Looking forward to seeing it detailed. Sorry it rained.

Nice!!! Congrats on the new Vette. That '58 looks like a nice retirement account waiting in the wings.

Congrat's on the Vette Dennis from another KS Flatlander! Absolutely stunning ride!

Hope to see you sometime this year (if I can break away from BMW's long enough)

Very nice, bet you can't wait to detail it.:buffing:

I always heard that you can wax a new car as soon as you get it home. Well the Corvette factory is putting out a difference story, they say the paint is about 85% cured and you should not apply any wax or sealants for at least 30 days from the build date of the Corvette. Normally that is not a problem because most cars sit on the dealer car lot for a few weeks prior to being sold but with Museum Pick or special order cars can get the car just few days after the car is built. My car was built on 25 Feb 08 so I still have a few days before I can start the detailing process.

That is a 39 Ford Coast to Coast I own, I also own 35 Ford that is all real steel that has been street rodded.

you will love it ... no Z51 suspension huh ???

Nope we we got the F55 instead, still comes with the big brakes and cross drilled rotors but no extra oil coolers nor the super tires.

What do you think about the comments from the factory about no waxing for 30 days from build date? They sure push the C-Magic stuff, probably not bad stuff by I didn't bite.

car is fully cured prior to delivery ... detail immediately.

Before I went on the plant tour I would have said the same thing but after the plant tour I’m going to wait the 30 days before detail the car. What change my mind was seeing the rear fascia and the lower front fascia being hand painted and they do not go through the baking process that the rest of the panels do. Fascia could be installed on the car as soon as 8 hours after painting. Also in the QC area they had several cars that were built but pulled off to the side to have panels repainted or touchup paint and those since they are complete cars do not go back to ovens. The factory is required to keep the last 500 cars built on the factory grounds and building 150 per day they could sit there as little as 4 days prior going on Allied trucks and ship to the dealer. You never know if your car was one of the ones that had panels repainted or not so I decided to be safe and wait the 30 days.

Awesome ride I like your style with the old fords. Again nice new vet.

Dennis, the C-Magic is MAGIC!! I use it on my vette, love the products. They do not have correction polish/compounds however what they have is super easy to use and works very well indeed.
