My new Cyan pads are done...

I sent David with Lake Country pictures of my pads that seemed to be an older version pad that had issues.
Anyway, he sent me an email asking for my home address and shipped me new pads, free of charge.
Not all companies give their time, well not quickly as David anyway.
Great customer service.

Thanks David for addressing the issue I had.

Thanks for all the support guys! Like I said earlier, we did do an upgrade on the adhesive in late last year.

We have had very few issues with these pads since our upgrade.

Chunking of these pads usually happens because of a couple reasons-

Too much downward force, Not enough polish, or under lubricated - these can both cause increased friction and cause tearing of the closed cell foam.

This doesn't rule out the fact that it could be a defective pad, but just few things I have observed with the use and failure of these pads.

I bought 10+ of these pads in the 3 and 4 inch size, and they all chunk and just rain foam after a couple uses or cleans. The LC flat pads, not even once.

I did buy these pads over a year ago but it would seem like the durability should be better. I'll post some pictures to show what I'm talking about. It's almost like the foam can't stand the abrasion from the product and paint, then when you go to clean the pad the microfiber is too abrasive for the foam.

Don't get me wrong, over half of my pads are LC pads, but these hydrotech pads are not user friendly.

IMO the Lake Country pads are some of the best pads to buy, long lasting.
I have some that have a lot of work time them, still not sure what went wrong with my Cyan pads.
I'm sure LC is looking for a solution if they haven't already.
Once I get my new pads I'll give them a go, they really finish down well.

Agreed. David is really an asset to both Lake Country, and the online community.

IMO customer service is as important as the product itself. I don't want to give my hard earned $'s to a company/business that doesn't respond or care about it's customers. any company/business is quick to take your money but when a problem/issue (or just bad customer service period) arises, some do not respond or try to resolve/help the situation. i can think of a couple that i will not spend anymore money with. the way you spend your money is your voice and one needs to spend it wisely these days. why keep giving money to someone that is undeserving and ungrateful...
