Finally traded in the problem truck. since the deer hit it, its been nothing but problems. it was a cursed deer.

The old truck. 98 Silverado.

My new 07 Silverado LT1 with only 30K. Pretty loaded!!! Factory Remote Start with Climate Control. Tow Package with Heavy Duty Suspension. Premium Sound (not BOSE). 2WD with 4.8L V8.

picture from the dealers site. shows the color really nicely. i love the color.

first things are the lil GM badge on the doors is coming off, and the HUGE Chevy Emblem on the tailgate is coming off. I like the the SILVERADO on the doors and tailgate, its nice, so its stayin!
 
Nice truck!

Before you remove the emblem on the tailgate, I would look and see if you have an access panel on the inside of your tailgate that you can remove to take a look inside and make sure that emblem does not have any locating pins sticking through the sheet metal which locates the placement of the emblem on the tailgate. It will look good with the emblem removed, but I'm sure you don't want two little locating pin holes in your tailgate showing, if you have not already double-checked. :xyxthumbs:

if there are locating pins, i will get a smaller chevy emblem to cover it! i know what you mean tho. On our mustang, the ford emblem had a locating hole, but the GT didnt, so i moved the GT over to cover the holes! i wanted the ugly blue oval gone from that car. haha

yah, if i cant remove it, or i dont like how it looks removed, im definitely getting it painted to match. along with the upper half of the mirrors.

and the LT is getting removed from the tailgate.
 
Very nice. :) I like that body style on the Chevy trucks, and in general I am not a truck fan. What did it set you back?
 
The emblem is off a 2009, my truck is a 2006. Once it is painted to match, it does look smaller.
 
Nice truck ICEMAN. Make sure you install a set of Sav-A-Life deer alerts on the front of the truck.

Yah the exteroir and interior are mint. Under bed cover not so much, lol. Needs bed liner removed and rhino lined.

funny you say that!! i ordered a 2" front leveling kit from Rough Country!!!

i may be getting the nice 18" Z71 rims from my buddies Avalanche here in a few months. He is getting the factory 20" 5 spoke chrome rims, and i will take his 18's off his hands.

There are not locating pins in the emblems. On my 2010 I put a vinyl american flag decal on the bowtie on my tailgate.

Not to hi-jack autogeek but check out gm-trucks.com/forums for a great truck forum.
 
Nice truck, keep away from the "wildlife" and she will be fine.....Do you have the paint sealed up yet?

yah i seen that, ive been on FullSizeChevy.com since i got my last truck. i may switch tho. FSC is a great forum tho. i will def just completely remove it. i like the look of the GMC's without a big emblem in the middle. its just another thin to tape off too. lol

Wildlife, LOL. ive had it for 2 weeks today, and for 8 of those days i was in New Zealand, so i havent had ANY time to do anything, lol. who knows when i lll get it done. i never detailed my last truck for the 8 months i owned it. i only ever pressure washed the bugs off. this truck i plan on actually taking more care of the paint.

i still dont have my bags unpacked, lol
