I really like the 805's. I bought them probably 8 - 10 years ago and they still sound great. I was looking for a really nice pair of fairly compact speakers for 2-channel audio playback and they were the best to my ear in my price range. Now most of my listening is to movie playback in 5.1, but the 805's still perform nicely at that task. If I ever upgrade my mains and center, I'll probably continue using the 805's as surrounds or put them in my office setup. But as of now I have no plans of upgrading. Maybe if I get a fat tax refund.P1et said:Sevenrd: B&W 805s? That is not too shabby, I only wish I could make the upgrade to the 800 series now. One day I will have the 800Ds, but at $10K a piece, I just might have to hit it lucky! I want that, with a full rack of Rotel amps to go with it!
I'm really impressed with the entire B&W range. A friend of mine recently purchased some 600 series for his setup and they sound great.
