ok so its not a POS. Its my baby Stacy. ;)

My camera sucked so I tried to adjust the color on these. However, the last 4 close up pics are UNTOUCHED!

About a month ago I used a Pinacle clay bar so it didnt need it now. Everything I did after that didnt do much. it sucked.

This time I went for a 2nd try at it all and started with my fav. Gold class wash. Then I used #80 and PC...white pad. #83 on a couple of spots that needed it....orange pad. After #80 I used #7 by hand and finally #26. The headlights and tail lights got #10 and #17. Engine got STP engine degreaser and CDT engine detailer. I polished my intake with Monthers polish. All trim was dressed in PB's trim restorer and loved it! Now I want to try more of PB's products. In the interior I used my favorite Son of a Gun on the dash and lexol on the leather. Stoners on the windows inside and out. For the tires I just used some black magic I already had.

I'm moving on from the average OTC stuff into the more high end stuff. I'd like to try some XMT glaze and Souveran next. Also, whats the general consensus on choice of quick detailer? tire dressing? I'd like to find a new one. I havent liked any of the OTC ones Ive used.

As for tools I have the usuall orange, white and black pads. cobra microfiber and waffle weave and a few different brushes. All of these and the Meguiars products Ive gotten from AG. I need to order a few more things including a foam gun next.

Any thoughts or advice?

I think these pics suck. I'll try to take some better ones tomorrow to better show the work.

Looks nice. You should probably make it so the pics are spaced out vertically. For QD, there is Clearkote Quickshine, Poorboys S+W, Finish Kare 425, or Pinnacle Crystal Mist. For tire dressings, I like Meguiar's Endurance (OTC), or Poorboy's Bold and Bright. Also, where did you get your CD2 engine detailer?

Quick detailer I use either Poorboys(PB) Spray and Gloss(S&G) or Clearkotes Quick Shine(QS). Tire dressing PB Bold-n-Bright(BnB) here a pic of BnB

Also taking picture need light (for dark colors) your first 2 don't show your work because of the shade the car provides. Also use your flash a camera need as much light as possible to capture everything.

thanks guys. I hate taking pics in the bright sun. I usually go to parking structures or wait for a day with nice overcast to take pics.

abrcrombe....
I'm sure pepboys or any other auto store near you has it.

I'm going to try and take some on my driveway now. see what that looks like. not much sun out though.

The picture with the house refelction is great. And I love the engine shot. Looks really clean.

Pepboys doesn't carry none of those brands listed above, except Meguiar's.

Looks very nice!

And I thought you were joking about it being a POS. LOL JK That thing is very nice, clean and well done. What is that thing under your hood though? Turbo or am I seeing things?

#80 and white pad? Isn't the white supposed to be used for applying wax and stuff?

its not a turbu. Thats an ARC airbox. Just an intake. The coo part about it is that the entire right side of it is an open filter and then a smaller one also in the back. It pulls its air from the wheel well right next to it. Its open in these cars, not like most other.

I tried 83 and orange and then also 80 and white single step each and combined to make 2 steps and I saw better results with 80/white alone than I did with 83/orange. Not that it needed much anyway. I also didnt see a difference between following 83 with 80 or just doing 80 alone. Got any advice? 83 was hard to work with and left miniature swirls, looked just like it was before.
