My Rupes DIED!!

My Samsung fridge is great, no issues, but I went with LG washer and dryer due to Samsung's bad history in the last few years with those. Other than that, I prefer Samsung for everything else.

How old is the fridge?

So after going through two Samsung refrigerators in about 9-10 years (got tired of fixing them) I bought an LG fridge. Much to my surprise it's made in China!

My new Samsung S10+ phone, made it Vietnam. It seems both South Korean companies are sending some of their manufacturing to communist China and Vietnam. Kind of an interesting statement.

How did this turn into the refrigerator complaint forum ?

That's one way to think about it lol. At the same time if you make it right then you wouldn't need to do all that. Your work should speak for itself. Any appliances I have that break down I just replace it. Refrigerators just don't break down within a year.

i think 2 years now, maybe closer to 3. I just change the water filter when the light comes on and that's it.

I've had Samsung phones for many years, monitors, TV's, all with no issue (except the phone battery going bad but whatever). The only thing I wouldn't buy from Samsung is a washer and dryer, but some say those issues have been resolved.

Funny timing, just replaced a Washing machine drain pump ($68) on the Bosch washer. Took 30-40 minutes. Washer, dryer and dishwasher are 12 years and counting. Made in U.S. - North Carolina is memory is correct. Very pleased with Bosch, FWIW.

Samsung washer and dryer since 2010. Side by side. Best washer and dryer I’ve ever owned. Flatscreen Samsung for daily Xbox since 2008.

Samsung electric oven....... Baking element wire broke off it's connector then arced to the back case cover. Didn't trip breaker because the wire was such small gauge it couldn't carry 50a (required breaker rating, per Samsung)

Will never even entertain a Samsung appliance again. Anyone noticed their local Lowes blowing out Samsung washers and dryers? There is a reason for that.

Another quiet morning here, with a 350z in the garage about to be polished, and I'm listening to our GE fridge making so many weird noises.. Drips, and moving ice. Sometimes it sounds like It's trying to blast off into orbit...

My Rupes are fine though!

LOL! My GE fridge makes weird noises all the time too! This is the second one I’m on in ten years. I think it’s time for a Whirlpool
