My schmitt is dead after three washes?

Well then maybe I need to PM megan about my schmitt. I have had mine for maybe 100washes and the thing has separated, I was under the impression that it lasted longer than that. Thats why I bought the thing.

How many washes do you get from other washing devices (lambs wool mitt, sponge, MF mitt)? A hundred washes from anything I feel is really good and I would be happy and just buy another.

Thats what I was thinking. I'm lucky to get half that from some of the crap companies sell.

I agree, I think 100 washes is darn good. For us driveway detailers it would take us two years to get 100 washes in, after that I am willing to admit I got my money worth! :righton:
I think you pro's need to think about the amount of washes you do a day with these things. They are not designed to last forever, 100 washes sounds fair to me. :applause:
If you disagree please let me know.

I am not saying that 100 washes is not alot. It is, but the thing has always been taken care of and never abused. I was under the impression that 100 washes with this thing is a small amount. The face of the mitt is ok, but the glue is separated. That means that if that had not of happened, I could still be using it today.

Yeah, 100 washes is a long time, but the fact that I could still be using it today except for a glue problem, is what bothers me.

I doubt if I have 50 washes on mine and it did the same thing (glue seperated). I have never put it in the washer or dryer. I just rinse it off when I'm done. The foam is still in good shape. It can still be used but not as a mitt. Edge needs to use a better glue IMO. Maybe Edge needs to sell some better glue so you could do a repair.

yeah, better glue would be fine. I love the performance of this mitt, and if it wasent for the glue, it would last 400 washes, but now it cant be used and it does not hold as much soap.

I dont see why a simple wash mitt cant be made to last 100 washes. I mean come on, a problem like glue failing on something like that is sad.
