My solution to $150 foam guns...

Sorry to derail this topic a little bit, but a quick explanation and it'll all be over. lol

I guess I'm now confused on the purpose of this. I thought it would go like this:

1. pressure wash off the large loose stuff.
2. Foam the car
3. wash the car with preferred mit and rinse bucket
4. complete washing car, pressure wash off
5. begin next steps (clay, polish, whatever).

However, the more I read the more it seems the car is foamed, pressure washed off, then 2bm as normal for washing. Seems to me foaming the car then having at it washing would be the way to go and save a bunch of time washing. But..I dunno! Any explanations guys?

This HomeDepot foam cannon is great!! I use meguiars wash & wax and it foams up great! Even on the high setting I did my whole truck and (08 dodge ram) had some left over!! For $20 well worth it!!!!

It's only $15 now :dblthumb2:

yup 14.97:) i got 2 juuuust in case:)

Just got one for $14.97 as well (package said $17.97 and customer service said they don't price match to their website which said $14.97, but at checkout it came out as $14.97 anyway).

Was going to get 2 but the only other one was all banged up.

Just picked on of these setups today. I had to buy the adapter kit as well. Price on the store shelf was higher, but I had the price from the HD site. They honored it and said they will change the shelf label.

Can't wait to try it out!

Any Info on this adapter kit??Feed back please

i didnt read all the replies but since my pressure washer is on the fritz, can these foam guns be hooked up to a regular hose?

nope you want to foam the car first, then rinse car
2. Foam the car
this should be first
3. wash the car with preferred mit and rinse bucket
yes after you foam, rinse, and foam again:)
4. complete washing car, pressure wash off
rinse off or pressure wash off
5. begin next steps (clay, polish, whatever).

you foam the car first to loosen all the grime and crap on the car. then rinse to get the stuff off. then you can foam again and wash w/buckets since soap is on the car.

Ok cool I was on the right track then. Thanks! Guess I'll be picking ine of these up along with a $17 in lune hose filter from walmart. :)

I tried the foam blaster (and adapter set) and it worked great with a EuroPro 1900 psi pressure washer. However, the foam didn't last that long on the car. It went on great, but by the time I got around the whole car, the first section already lost half the foam. I used Duragloss 901 1:1 (4oz/4oz). After I was done I noticed that I could have turned the head of the foam blaster sideways, and the opening would have nearly closed. I don't know what this does but I'll have to try it next time.

It definitely worked better than my Gilmour foam gun, but I wouldn't say dramatically better. I still need to test out some other soaps I have (MGC, OCWC, Wolfgang Autobathe). I also don't know if it would work better with a better power washer and/or something like Xtreme foam or CG Maxi Suds).

Unfortunately my camera battery died as soon as I started taking video, but I'll make sure to charge it next time!

One setting is for a spray of the foam, the other is for a stream of foam. The spray works better.

Cool, thanks. I think I did it right (spray).

Did you have similar experience where the foam didn't dwell that long? I wonder if some of the snow foams (readily available in the UK, a bit hard to find here) would work much better?
