My summer detailing adventures

Crazy how such nice cars get pigged out.
Most of the owners don't deserve these cars lol.
Nice work BTW!

Yeah most of them are busy businessmen with no time to care for them. Which I don't mind cause it gives me business!

Now that IS a great attitude.

Your work shows it also.

How long have you been detailing for?

Great work. The S6 carpet could've been better but everything else looks great!

I began detailing for other people's cars at the beginning of the summer. Been buffing and using my Griot's 6" DA since the beginning of the year. Been toying around with detail grade products for around 2 years when I had my old 2003 BMW 330i ZHP. Thinking of stepping up to either the Rupes or Flex in the spring hopefully.

Thanks though! The owner of the S6 had S6 embroidered mats on order so he didn't want me to really clean and scrub them. I wish he would've let me do them since I hate seeing it be incomplete but the customer gets what they want and there wasn't much of a point since they were getting yanked out soon anyways.

Beautiful looking Jet Black 3er you have there. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant is a fantastic spray sealant that can really add some gloss.

BTW, that 3er is screaming for a drop! lol

Thanks! Yeah coils are in the works. A friend of mine bought some that have 2k miles on them but he is now going to a set of ground control on his new widebody single turbo 335i that is running a 325 rear tire and 275 front tire. I'll be picking up his coils once his new ones get in!

Couple more this weekend.
First up was a full correction on a SLK55 AMG. Had a lot of marks and scuffs on the paint which were all removed. Customer was very happy!

Next was a one step correction on a Jaguar XK. This was my first mobile detail that I've done. Wasn't bad at all! Customer even offered me dinner which wasn't bad at all haha

Here's some pics.

Lastly I did maintenance washes and clean ups on two cars that I detailed a few weeks ago. The Audi R8 and a Mercedes E350

SLK was done throughout the weekend in between smaller jobs since the owner had no rush. All in all took about 10-11 hours or so. The jag took 6 hours to do. Didn't require much interior work or heavy decontamination.

Gosh where do you live?! Looks like a bunch of wealthy neighbors!

Although I guess my neighborhood is the same way, except I have never done any exotics ;)

I work mostly down in Chapel Hill, NC. I began working on neighbor cars but now word has spread and I'm doing jobs in Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh/Cary.
