it's a sealant . not a wax . so no Nuba , it has polymers . maybe u want the colorlock Nuba wax ? the powerlock will give u more protection and last longer than a wax. the looks are not the same as a sealant vs a Nuba say so some and I included at times put down a sealant first and top with a wax . I use powerlock but I have not used my colorlock yet . that would prob be a good combo though? I'm not no pro, just a hobby. I learn everyday with this forum . bobby g got me goin and I spent too much money here on ag , but hey I love my new hobby .
lets see if bobby g can chime in to add his knowledge .

Color lock has carnauba, Power Lock is a polymer sealant. You could top PL with CL though.

I have no input on how well it works though. I have both jusy havent tried the color lock yet.

The only reason I haven't purchased any new products in over a month is the fact that the shelves I delegate to detailing supplies are full. =D

My budgeting system is controlled through the limited storage space allowed by my family. :cry:

I did manage to sneak in a small order of some IronX and Poorboys Polish with Carnuaba (BOGO). Hopefully it fits on the edge of my shelves... lol

In two months you will look back and realize that this isn't even a list......it's just a few items on the shelf. You hang out here very long and these guys will turn your money into a real list! These guys are master of psychology.....just as soon as you swear you are done, a big sale will pop up and you will relapse.

As you can see, We've all said that once upon a time. Once you think that's it, there's something else. This is a great hobby and once you're in you're in. You'll find great products and great people with vast knowledge here on this site. This may never let you go. Like I said, keep us all posted as to how you're not buy stuff. LOL

To me its not as expensive as many other hobbies and all of the products can be put to good use.

I use to pull in our super street diesel truck class. (Truck pulling for those who don't know), it was always a few hundred dollars every week then thousands every winter to get ready and keep up for the next year. For those who don't know, a pull lasts only 15 seconds and you only get one try. Thats a lot of time and money working all week on it to only get to spend 15 seconds on the weekend. They were a fun 15 seconds, but I've switched to hobbies I can enjoy whenever I want.

Ahhh yessssss..... 15 seconds of serious pulling....... followed by 5 minutes of glorious, thick, black, SMOKE! :laughing:

Ahhhhh I love the smell of (CAT) diesel in the morning. ;)

I started about 6 months ago with a bottle of 15 dollar wax, and now I have 3 shelves and a full detailing cart. I get alot of whole sale prices on things through a friend, so it could be worse.

Lots of broken parts. It was worth it, just got too expensive for my tastes after awhile. I had already bent the rods with the bigger turbo and put in some spares to get through the season but needed to build the motor to be competitive the next year. Just in parts alone would've run close to 20k to step up and be competitive at 900-1000hp. I was sitting in the 600 range and didn't invest anywhere near that to get that far. Its a big jump to get up with the big boys.
