AHHHHH WGI oh the memories..your Ls looks awsome,never was a fan of the later MC but its a looker.
I am from originally from upstate New York,born and raised from Horseheads and have some very fond memories of WGI as a competitor and a spectator.

Nice 87 Monte. My first car was a 79 Monte. Engine looks similar, especially the headers ;-) Nice touch with some of the chrome parts under the hood.
Is that a single stage paint or CC? Is it the original paint or has it been repainted? My ol 79 had a single stage paint. No clear. You couldn't instill swirls in that if you gave a rabid monkey a dirty old wool padded rotary and let him detail on the beach! Hood did eventually get oxidized though.
Don't have that car anymore. Anemic gas guzzling V8s are not for me. Lets see 15 mpg highway if you had a strong tailwind pushing you forward downhill and only 150hp out of a 5.0L V8 with 4bbl carbs. What the?
They both look very nicely detailed but 2 black cars? That's like two 2nd jobs!
