Stupid question but isn’t that filling
in scratches?
•Think of it this way:
-It’s the same “scratch removal” process, as
when you’re polishing vehicles’ BC/CC paint.

The issue is to find an effective wash process
to keep marring to a minimum, the more you
rub the more it’s gonna mar.
:goodpost: ...:iagree:

•We‘ve got a couple of vehicles currently sporting
black wheels: easiest wheels to maintain that I’ve
ever owned!
-Not once have we ever regretted choosing this
wheel finish.

Bob

Sorry man what’s that, how much am I looking at?

most people don't realize that some factory black rims are powder coated. there are numerous articles on powder coating. I am having mine done right now. 525 all 4 includes powder and a clear coat. The choice of colors and finishes are unlimited.

I agree with the below,

The wheels themselves are made of aluminum, the top finish layer, as has already been explained, is not aluminum but clearcoated and it would be worth starting off by hand with a microfiber applicator.

Do a test spot on the passenger side rear wheel as Mike would say.

Do a Test Spot - see what you can do.
