I think you may find this interesting. A shop near me (I also owned a Mustang), built and tuned an 04' Cobra. Originally it had a Whipple and made 625RWHP at 19PSI.

They THEN put in a twin turbo set-up (57mm's). The best numbers they turned out was 853 rwhp, and 750 rwtq at 23psi.

Later, a year later, they sprayed nitrous into the intercooler and got 905 rwhp on 93 pump gas.

Did I mention this???? The car is COMPLETELY STOCK except turbos, clutch, and catback!!!!!

Also if Herman was that bad why does he have such a demand that he goes all over the country tune vehicles. Like I said wasnt giving you grief but the truth is the truth. I have been a long mustang and camaro fan and chris and torrey are two great guys period.Chris makes more power than Springfield or Herman(I have seen two many herman cars get capped at street races!)I always took my mustangs to Chris he is wide open and two the point!!and Zax tell Chris and Torrey that James from the big house says HI!!(Torrey might be pissed at me I was supposed to wire his basement and got side-tracked.OOPS!)
 
Like I said if you added up who has the worst workmanship and other things that have happened then you would know where I am coming from. Like I said Zax has a very nice car. If it was Herman that did crappy work and has done other things I would say the samething. Atleast Springfield should have a better attitude since Jon sold the shop. Lets face it everyone has their fair share of problems but some have alot more than others. There is noway he makes more power, I will give him this if you took the same car to each dyno his will read the most because he uses STD readings instead of corrected SAE readings, look at the above dyno sheet as an example, and also there is the swosh set also that can be played with to show inflated hp and orque readings.

That is old news its been 6-8 months, sold the shop got a new wife and left the auto field. Dont know the guys name who bought it, but he was a customer. He has an LTD with a 5.0 with mass air they had to fix the catons butchered up. From what I gather this guy is advertising all over the place, whether it is working I dont know. I visit the guys at the machine shop next door and they havent had much work. Yes Wheat still works there if he didn't they would have to close the doors. Everyone gets along with Wheat.
 
Now, it all comes together! You're a Springfield Motorsports and Lloyd loyalist. This explains it all.
 
Far from it, I just know alot of people that are in the performance world. No llyod does not have any ownership in the business, just an employee, plus he and luke work very well together, only met lloyd when he came over to custom auto machine. And Zax just by your attitude you must fit right in with all the little Excessive groupies. I also have been doing this alot longer than you have and the fastest 5.0 in the area when all the mustang stuff got big, traveled with Nitrous Pete, Lee Rutter, Craig Radivich, John Smith, Joe Leonardo so just relax and have a good time with your car.

I find it humorous that you came into my thread and tried slamming the guy who tuned my car.

I also find it funny about your brothers car. BS on his numbers!

You keep slamming Excessive, and name drop Springfield Motorsports and Lloyd, when they have had problems with each other.

No problem after the way you started acting I dont feel bad at all doing it. As far as my brothers car you will find out if you see him on the roads that it has alot and more. Once again relax and I didnt bring llyods name up 02camss did, and as far as anyone having problems springfield never talked about Excessive Chris is the one that always bad mouths everyone, once again if you knew the complete backgrounds on all these shops and why Chris talks bad about them then you would understand. Funny how he is the one talking bad about all these people, funny how one person has problems with all these people. Find out the whole stories before thinking chris is all that. Did you know when Chris first started out he had a shop called D&D and had to shut it down, hmmm. Also had to modify his current name because there is another shop with that name and his work was causing them problems. So before you speak please find out all the facts about people. Once again since this is going in the wrong direction because of your lack of knowledge about said shops and people please pm me and lets try to keep this about your car which once again will say it is very nice.
 
Zax, this is not an attack on you, so please don't take it that way.

The great thing about this is that you can choose whoever you want to tune your car. Everyone has their own opinion of who the best is. The bottom line is, if you are happy with your tuner, that is all that matters.

I have never had a car tuned by either, but Excessive was long known for blowing cars up. They may have changed, I stopped reading threads that had anything to do with them (on the stang forums). Hermann on the other hand has turned out some impressive builds and is well sought after, having people drive substantial distances for his services. Every tuner has blown a car up at some point or another, but IME, it is extremely rare with HBH. Like I said, take it with a grain of salt. As long as YOU are happy, that's all that matters.

BTW, the numbers that Asphalt's brothers car is making are attainable. There are more than a few cars with those mods that make similar numbers in the hands of the right tuner.......and yes they are still together, getting the crap beat out of them day in and day out.

We don't agree on what are the best detailing supplies, so why should we agree on tuners? :D :cheers:

Just a little heads up my brother's 03 Cobra puts out 530/530 horsepower/torque SAE(corrected) not STD. Thats with a stock eaton, not ported, and stock lower pulley. Not taking anything away from your car it is very nice, but Excessive is nowhere near the best tuner in the area, they have a very bad reputation. I have been in the Mustang scene since the mid-80's so I know whos who in tuning.

I know this is a dated thread but just came across this post and felt the need to toss out a picture for you about your claim of 530/530 SAE numbers with a non-ported Eaton on an 03 Cobra. Especially with an upper only. *rolling eyes*

Sorry you don't believe it but there are several others out there and a couple I know of that have bit more. You can call BS all you want, funny how you picked this out as your first post.
 
It isn't that I don't believe it... it’s that it can't be done!! You say this as if there are quite a few 530 RWHP SAE Cobra's with an upper only still on the little non-ported Eaton running around. Again, BS... not happening!

Care to share a dyno sheet and shop number with a trap speed to confirm? I will not hold my breath...

Not to mention, the TQ numbers with the pulley you mentioned shows sign of peak ported numbers.

He still owns the record for fastest non-ported upper only Cobra in the country, and badass driving mofo.
