I park in a structure at work. Over the winter I discovered drippings on the hood. When I washed it off it looked as if the paint had been stained. How do I remove it? Clay bar? See the pic for what I am describing. It is a 2014 BMW X1.View attachment 48518 Jerry Frank I also have a 2011 Ford Ranger with a Leer Fiberglass topper. What products can I use to detail the fiberglass topper?

You may want to try a cleansing wax, such as Mothers California Gold, Dodo Juice Need for Speed, Griots Garage Cleaner Wax.
Use a microfiber applicator in a small spot (test spot) by hand and wipe off. See if that removes the contamination.

Vinegar worked for me in removing that sort of stuff, from a parking garage.

Mike seems to be busy today so I'm going to make a couple comments until he has time to stop in.

Parking garages can drip some pretty nasty mineral deposits; yours don't look too bad. The (white) vinegar suggested previously is a good home remedy, or you can try something like these:

Duragloss Water Spot Remover (WSR) #505
CarPro Spotless Water Spot Remover
Optimum MDR Mineral Deposit Remover, water spot remover for paint, water spot remover glass

What kind of condition is the fiberglass in?

Thanks for the replies! I will try the white vinegar and see what happens.

The fiberglass topper is in good condition.

That looks like lime as far as I can see, can't blow the pic up to much distortion.I would try a fine cut polish before buying any products.

I tried the 1:1 vinegar solution.....BOOM! Came right off. Reapplied wax and it is all good.....Thanks to all who offered advice.....This group is great!

LOL, that never works, but then those spots didn't really look bad at all. If you want to see bad parking garage drips:

Anyway, glad it worked out for you!

That looks a lot more like a biological deposit rather than a mineral one.... parking garages...
