Mystery Snake

Mike you have a good wife. Youngest daughter had a corn snake in her bed room. I took the hoe to that one.

That big Daddy doesn't bother me but TWO Coral Snakes in the yard? THAT would bother me. Fortunately they are not aggressive and have small jaws & fangs but still......

good reason not to live in Florida. now you need to worry about giant Boas, Move out.

This bad boy was on my porch a few years back, Eastern Diamondback up here in Tampa. Good thing my sliding glass doors were closed! I took the pic through the door and then I caught him around the side of my house and blasted him with with a 12 gauge. About 4-1/2 feet long.

Holy $&#%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've killed my fair share of snakes, AZ has plenty rattlers. Never knew snake meat was worth that much.. Would like to hear the whole story with the kitchen knife. Your wife is brave!! I always use a shovel or something long. Maybe she has mad knife throwing skills? You have a tough one nonetheless!!

I have butchered many animals but never a snake.I know the theory and if I had one (or a dozen) I could figure it out.Chef Tim Love out of Texas makes rattlesnake sausage which is where I as a chef would begin.:hungry:

Looks like what we call Coachwhip in Louisiana. Online description is:

25-90 inches. Usually dark brown or black anteriorly, becoming tan or reddish on the body or tail; some individuals entirely black above; underside dirty white or pink. Juveniles are tan with narrow, irregular black crossbars on the body. The scales are smooth and in 17 rows.

Here is a pic:

Eastern Coachwhip.

Finding snakes by your pool is better than finding them in your nose. Looks like an anaconda to me...but, quite frankly all snakes to me do!

"Snakes....why I'd it have to be snakes!"

You could cut the air with a knife tonight, 10:00 PM 82 degrees, 83% humidity. I detailed a BMW yesterday, 12 bottles of water and 3 shirt changes later I was done, Literally!
