Let me try to help...
First question: Did you purchase this product through Autogeek? It doesn't matter if you did or not as I'll try to help no matter what but just to confirm.
It sounds like you contacted them and they replaced the broken part. My guess is maybe it broke during shipping? Who knows but the fact that they replaced it with no other details from the outside looks like good customer service on MyTee's part.
Question: After the first use of the machine, when you first discovered there is a problem with the hose, did you contact MyTee to let them know about the problem?
If you did, what did they do or say?
If you didn't, how long did you wait before you contacted them about the problem that started with the first use?
I've never had any sign of the hose breaking apart on the units in our garage and the plastic material they are made from is actually a pretty stout material.
Can you take a picture of the areas that are breaking and post them to this thread or send them to me and I'll post them to this thread.

I don't have a Mytee S-300 Tempo Carpet & Upholstery Extractor out of the box but it looks like it has the same cap out 8070 unit has. This is a plastic cap that mates to a plastic outlet. There is no gasket so you must tighten down to prevent leaking.
It's possible there's a bur or some other un-even surface between the cap and the outlet, perhaps check and use a fine file or some fine sandpaper to smooth it over.
I'll take the cap off the 8070 and when I'm at Lowe's this weekend I'll see if there's some off-the-shelf rubber gasket that fits inside this cap in the plumbing isle because this is really what any hard interface like this needs just to make it bubba-proof.
I've been e-mailing since e-mail was invented and I try my best to answer all incoming e-mails within 24 hours and many of you that have e-mailed me know I reply back in hours. That said once in a while I completely miss one.
So no comment from me about anyone else's e-mailing protocols.
The leaking cap is annoying I'm sure, especially if you're placing the unit "in the vehicle" and I "think" the right answer is for the company to include a rubber gasket with any model that uses this style of sealing the dirty water tank. At least a rubber gasket would or should ensure minimal risk for leaking but in the big picture this is kind of a small detail.
As for the other points you make, they did send you a replacement cap and hopefully you'll get a reply to your e-mail.

Thanks for your response to this, Mike. I just received the email notification that new comments have been added to the thread...only 10 days later. Not sure why, but no worries.
The unit was not purchased through AutoGeek. (I have always received excellent customer service from PBMG in every interaction.) The unit was on sale through another vendor. The timing and price was right. Here is the cap as it arrived to me:

It definitely looked like it could have happened in shipping or even in the original packaging of the unit. I called the distributor immediately. They simply asked me to email a photo of the broken piece and they would send out a replacement. I received it very quickly. It was not Mytee that I dealt with.
The cap does include a thin gasket as seen in the photo but that still doesn't seem to seal it off. I have not spent the time to investigate it closely but I'm pretty sure I can find a solution to this issue. If it was my only problem with the unit I would not have made an issue of it.
This is the hose as it was the first time it came apart. The same problem has since occurred in other locations on the hose.

As you can see the hose is a single long string of plastic that has an "S" shape that allows it to interlock on itself in a tongue and groove method in a spiral assembly. The plastic material is rather thin and flimsy and relies on the "S" form for structural support. A simple pinch of the hose with just a little pressure can cause the inner groove to slip out and compromise the structural integrity.
My first thought was that I had somehow kinked it and, being near the coupler, caused it to break. I simply used a razor knife and cut the broken end off, reassembled and kept going. I received the unit in winter and tend to avoid doing heavy carpet cleaning when mobile unless I have enough time to ensure the carpets are dry before I leave, which tends to be more problematic when temps are in the 40s. I managed to use the unit a few times before having more issues with the hose. The unit sat unused for a while and then I tried a few things to fix the problems to make it functional. I had the unit for about 3 months before finally contacting Mytee directly through their website.
I also have had moments when I have read an email and then became distracted before getting to respond and then forgetting because the email becomes lost among so many other opened emails. However, an email from a dissatisfied customer would never be forgotten; unless such emails are a common occurrence. I did state in my email to them that a lack of response would result in my sharing of my experience publicly.
I have looked at Lowe's and Home Depot for a replacement hose. Neither the shop vac hoses nor the pool hoses are the proper fit. I'm sure I can find a hose of the correct diameter that will fill the need, however I should not have to do so on my own. At this point my issue is as much with the total lack of customer service as with the poor quality of the materials.
This is an issue that could have very easily turned me from a disappointed customer to satisfied, or better, with a simple resolution from the company. Unfortunately, what it would take to make me a happy customer now will take a whole lot more, if it is even possible.
