Hey so this is the first time I've had a problem with anything I have ordered so far and have happily spent my thousands of dollars here! But the mytee lite 8070 I just ordered has some problems and am wondering if its normal or the factory messed up on mine, and also if there's something I can do to rig it to where it'll work.

The problems:
The handle doesn't line up with where the screws need to go in, can't get it tight and the only way I can think of getting it to work is to bend the pipes in line with the screws.

The latch that attaches to the removable tank doesn't actually latch down it stays loose no matter what I try.

At first I thought I was just being an idiot and couldn't solve a simple set up, so I decided to watch the video on setting it up and I am doing it exactly like the video and instruction manual they gave me with the extractor.

My recently ordered Mytee did the same thing. I attached 3 of 4 screws. leaving the bottom right one out. Had to apply a small bar clamp to the bottom of the handle to squeeze the ends together until I could get the fourth screw in the hole.

Ditto for the latch. Top and bottom pieces are off center slightly and doesn't fasten tightly.

Luckily once I turn it on, it sucks in a good way, and I can forget about a couple cosmetic quality control snafus.

If it works without the latch then I don't care too much. But you figure when you pay 800$ for something and everyone talks about how amazing it is that it'll actually come in perfectly working condition not have cosmetic issues.

I wouldn't accept those problems for something that costs $800. If you deal with it in the beginning you'll be dealing with it every time you use it. I'd call AG customer service and arrange for a replacement and ask them to check the new one out before they ship it.
