Im not looking for the machine to be portable, so thats not my concern...but is the hp 60 worth the extra $?

thanks

There was some confusion in another thread about what the water lift is on the newest version of the Mytee Lite...it seems to have almost the lift of the HP60, so the main advantage the HP60 would have is that it has double the tank capacity, which I'm guessing wouldn't make much difference to you, and a little more lift.

yeah that thread is exactly why im asking...i

heres what ive been able to figure out...
new lite
102" of water lift. The 1000 water heater heats the water to 180-190 degrees and also features a single 2-stage high performance vac for water extraction, a newer more powerfull 20 PSI solution pump, and a 25' power cord.

the HP 60 has
6 gallon solution/recovery tanks, 1200 watt in-line heating system (constant 210 degrees), a super powerfull 3 stage vacuum motor with 140" of water lift, and a reliable NEW 120 PSI solution pump

there is about a $400.00 difference in my price between the 2....i could almost buy 2 lites for the HP 60...

Oh, I'm sorry, you're right, the Lite only has a 1000 watt heater, but the specs say it heats to the same 210° temp. My data shows 137" for the HP60 and 127" for the Lite...where are you getting your numbers? I got all mine from the Mytee site.

i got mine from another site...i think detailking or something...

i guess i should check the mytee site!! lol

edit;

so here is from mytee (prolly the best source)

MYTEE LITE

Vacuum Single 3 stage
CFM 100
H20 127"
Pump Diaphragm
PSI 120
GPM 1.3
Heater 1000 W - 210 degree maximum

HP 60

Vacuum Single 3 stage HP
CFM 100
H20 137"
Pump Diaphragm
PSI 120
GPM 1.3
Heater 1200 W - 210 degree maximum

very comparable...im not sure its worth 400 to go tot he hp60...

I e-mailed mytee to get confirmation about the lift increase on the mytee lite, they never got back to me...

Also, they don't have the ability to buy the mytee lite from their site, and AG has the lift at 85.

If the lift has increased, I don't think upgrading is worth it for $400.

What does the "lift" do?

I believe that lift refers to the amount of suction the machine produces to remove all the H2O that was pressurized into the pile of the carpet or upholstery.

From research a good machine as a good amount of PSI to drive the solution and dislodge the dirt and grim. It should also have high temp to dissolve the dirt and grime (and greasy stuff), and activate the pre-treater solution (or chemicals you put in the tank). And finally it should have high lift to be able to "suck" all the junk back into the tank.

The worst thing when doing extraction is to leave moisture behind which may facilitate mold, mildew or help liquefy dirt you bring in, which then travels deep in the carpet creating smells and ....

Thank you, sir.
