Now I'm using the Nanoskin Autoscrub on a G15 with Glide @ 7:1 dilution. As I'm going over areas the excess liquid's turning an almost Yoohoo chocolate color. I've used this on a bunch of cars and never seen this. Usually whatever I wipe up is totally transparent. Is this normal? I don't think it was how I washed or decontaminated because I took my time. And it's doing it everywhere so it can't be just certain spots I missed when I washed.

Any ideas? I'm just wiping it off with my edgeless towel, but I'm curious what the heck's going on.

i am gonna guess the vehicle your working on has a lot of contaminants on it. could it have been neglected. Not waxed in a long time?

I can't speak on the 1st owner, but this guy hasn't done anything outside of wash it. I've detailed some cars about this old that had hardly even been washed, let alone detailed. And I don't remember any murky brown liquid after claying. I figured it was from neglect too, but there's a lot I don't know so I came here to ask.

Thanks for the reply

It's happened to me quite a few times. Ever use claybar that turn instantly brown after claying an area? That's all the contaminants it's captured. I don't believe the nanoskin captures contaminants like a claybar would. That's perhaps a very neglected vehicle you're working with.

Sounds like it's super loaded with nasty contaminants but normal. Does it feel gritty to your bare hand without having to use a baggy? Probably so.
You may choose to do a quik re wash after dealing with such a mess. Otherwise you'll risk polishing or waxing over a mess.

Back when i had a glossy clearcoat, i'd experience this after every winter. Just heavy contamination. No big deal :)
