Can I use the dp rinseless wash and gloss ratios in a grit guard bucket w this autoscrub mitt to decantiminate panels. I have so many shampoos and clay lubes I want to use up.....

Yeah you can, I would clean the car first, and then use a new solution to use with the mitt.

:iagree:

The key is lubricity. If you dilute your solution to the point where the mitt grips the paint then you are asking for trouble. I use Mr. Pink with mine, and enjoy the smell the whole time I decon the car.

Since I started using the mitt, I've mentioned that I would never use clay again..... however had to break it out when I came too hard on a body edge (with not enough solution), and it left a gummy black residue of the clay mitt material. I tried claying it with the mitt and it was coming off, but the regular detailing clay took care of that in 2 passes.

How it work the med grade wash mitt? Can I use with foam gun? I use ironX foam

For the mitt you just dip it in a wash bucket with your solution then go to work "claying" a panel?

I purchased the medium grade mitt and I washed the car regularly, dried, then used Nanoskin's Glide at suggested dilution (can't remember specifically) and used the mitt as a clay bar, worked fine and I couldn't find any additional marring on black 7 year old Honda paint (which hasn't seen any correction ever). Not saying much about the marring factor but I will iterate that I didn't notice any additional marring with the medium grade mitt.

I'm sure it works fine with a clay lube or shampoo, anything with good lubricity should do the trick, but I'd highly suggest cleaning the surface with a traditional wash before you go to town with the polymer mitt.

I appreciate the thread, and the great advice...thank! I've been mulling over purchasing one or two of these mitts.
