I still use both everyday I've been using the Nano mitt more cause it save time.

Don't have the nano-mitt, but I freaking LOVE the Nanoskin DA pad. I'll whip that sucker out in a heartbeat. Sometimes I've used it without charging for it being as I wanted to impress the client and it only takes a few minutes to do an entire vehicle. (As long as it's not a SUV) ;)

I used clay then tripped and dropped it. Then looked at my uncle and said "do you still want me to use it?" Lol :D

Speedy Prep Towel and Auto Scrub for me.

Nanoskin for sure. Lasts longer, can rinse off, as effective if not better (sometimes), and faster. In the long run it will actually save you money.

Can you use ONR as the lube for the Nanoskin Sponge??

I bought the Nanoskin towel and broke it in... but I still haven't used it yet and I have detailed 3 cars since. Why? I keep forgetting to take it with me.

Looks like ill be getting a prep towel once my clay is done...

My opinion is that you still need clay. Don't know how crazy you get but around the decals and other tight tight areas, you are not going to be able to get the towel or the mitts in there.

I have the DA Pad and love it. Unfortunately, its not sticking to my BP as well and need to figure something out. Any geeks on here have a suggestion?

You dont think the clay leaves residue on the edges of the decals?

I think it works really well.

There is the fine and medium grade, and I think that makes a difference. When I used the fine grade on my wife's Subaru, I used clay to follow it, and there was a good amount of debris picked up by the clay. Yes, it did feel smooth after the nanoskin but didn't pass the baggie test. I'm not sure if this would have been picked up by the medium grade nanoskin pad or not since I don't own it. I suspect it would have given the popularity of the product.

I have subsequently used the fine grade pad on my Tesla and followed it with clay; they clay appeared to have no additional pickup.

Not very scientific, but you might want to consider the condition of the car and/or buy both pads.

Sorry but are you saying because it will leave residues on some areas, you will not clay?
Clay residue is pretty easy to clean off.

:iagree: Nothing a toothpick can't remove :)

yeah i said it.

:) or use a detailing stick if necessary.

The pads won't get into the smaller areas as effectively as a small piece of clay.

Yep... and you can form the clay to fit in perfectly.
I use a detail brush that has a rubber pick on the other end that I got from Advance Auto.
I think its called Autocraft Car Detail Brush Set

I used the fine grade Nanoskin mitt yesterday. This was my first time using the product. I came away very impressed. You can see and feel the contaminates and particles being removed from the surface.

What I liked about it most is you can use the microfiber side to wet/lube up the area, and just flip it over to the rubber/clay side to remove contaminates. Worked great and I would recommend it.
