Happy Holidays to all !!!! The Mrs gave me a Nanoskin fine grade wash mitt for Christmas. I have always complained how long it takes to clay my truck. What can I use as a lubricant to safely use it? I currently have the Meguiars quick detailer I used for clay, Ultimate wash & wax and Blackfire wet diamond rinseless washes, Meguiars Gold Class car wash and Meguiars Ultimate wash & wax car soaps. What product would be the best and quickest of the products I currently have? Or should I get the Nanoskin bubble bath that is referenced in the directions? Thank you and Happy New Year!!!!:xyxthumbs:

Actually as the Nanoskin line goes, the Glide is the luber to be used.
But you can use any lube you like, I used Dodo Born slippy and it was good enough.
Don't forget to break in the mitt on the Glass for about a minute before you start using it on the paint.

I have only used ONR but the Meg's QD should work. And like guesless stated Glide is the recommended.

With mine I use the Glide. One of my favorite products. You can mix it as a lube and qd.

i got one a few months ago and used adams QD its what I had and it worked great and the mitt worked great also. I was impressed how easy and fast it was

Thanks!:xyxthumbs: Well it looks like I will just have to tell the wife "another" order to Autogeek is a requirement to correctly use her thoughtful gift. Plus a few other items that "Santa" overlooked!!!:dblthumb2:

See that, positives all around! LOL!

Would my Megs Gold Class soap and an ounce or 2 of the Blackfire rinseless be a good combo in your opinion?

Sure, its all about the lubricants as long as the car is clean I've had no problem with maring and my truck is black. If you never used optimum no rinse get a 32 oz bottle I really like it. Since I got my fine wash pad I will never clay again unless of course it's really bad, this bad boy makes fast work of things.

I also use the Dodo Born slippery. It works great for me so I can safely recommend it. You can use a lot of products, just make sure they have a good amount of lubricity, and you apply a light touch with the Nano or any other deco. product. Don't think by applying more pressure, you're doing better. Clay is also a very fine option. Everyone , should have a new supply of clay handy
at all times. I do, even though I'm a fan of Nano. Good luck & take care.

Peace,

Darrin

Cammin' Hemi, take your BF wet diamond rinseless wash is the way to go, without a doubt! I would make up a half gallon and mix in 8 ounces and top off with water, That ratio should give you the lubricity you need and don't be afraid to use too much either, you can always make more.

.....I'm assuming you bought the gallon of the BF rinseless:poke:

I've got a nano & clay with the born slippy as well. Haven't used either yet because I don't get my warehouse until Jan. 1. I'm gonna nano my truck & clay the wife's SUV so I can compare the results. The mitt looks awesome and way faster but results are most important to me. Just wondered what the original poster thought after a year.
