Nanoskin: Which One?

I am getting ready to detail my truck and I am out of clay so I thought I would try a Nanoskin product. I notice they offer a pad system for machines as well as towels, to accomplish the same task. I am seeking advice, comments and suggestions on which way to go. I assume the pad system for DA machines may make the job go quicker, but as I have yet to try either version, I do not know. I have a Griots Garage DA, if that makes a difference. Thanks.
 
My vote would be the Nanoskin autoscrub speedy sponge as it's just the right size in my opinion to clay whichever area of the vehicle, and plus your more in-control rather than sharing power with a machine, thus increase the chances of marring, with that said do note whichever nanoskin product you choose it has a lifespan of claying up to 50 car's or more therefore try to keep track so you know when it served its duty
 
My vote too.
I got both hand sponges and did a midsize car in 15-20 minutes.
Just have a good clay lube or similar on hand, and don't forget to break in whichever item you get on the glass first.
 
I have the Nanoskin Blue Sponge. I have the 6" Blue DA pad but have not used it as the hand sponge is so easy to use. Additionally, IMO you have better control covering areas because it is by hand. It does not take long to cover as the sponge is so easy to use.

I have not used the Yellow sponge as I feel the Blue Sponge is fine by me. I can tell you that whichever you choose....it is way faster and better than traditional clay. That of course is my opinion. I no longer use traditional clay FYI. PS: Use plenty of lube. I use Pinnacle RW w/carnauba mixed at a higher ratio with a spray bottle as my lube.
 
Thank you all for the help, exactly what I was looking for. I forgot Nanoskin also has the sponges. I will be ordering a sponge as it sound like it will work well for me. Again thank you to all.
 
I've tried the sponges... but I highly prefer the mitt over anything else.
 
Just got through using the NanoScrub towel...I LIKE IT ! Just like rubbing the car down with a wash cloth and being more flexible than the sponge lets you get into small places. Also your fingers dont get tired trying to hang on to like other items. Important that you use their lube spray. You might try something else but I haven't seen any of the other sprays list a dilution rate for the NanoSkin products. Theirs diluted 7-1 for a lube and 10-1 for a detail spray. This tell me that the NanoSkin requires more lubricity than a regular detail spray. If you are going to spend the money for a NanoSkin product why skimp on what Lube you use and risk marring? Hope things come out well. Let us know.

I have used both the fine and medium grade nanoskin sponges. They work OK on light contaminated vehicles but vehicles with heavy contamination the sponges will not cut it. That's when I believe the SM Arnold Speedy Prep towel works the best and it's a lot faster then the sponges. Once I'm done with a six pack of nanoskin sponges that I recently bought I will get myself a fine and medium grade prep towel to replace the old one I have.

As far as the d.a. kit and wash mitt I have not tried those yet.
 
I was suggesting for the OP to get a sponge in each grade (fine/Medium), and try it for himself to see if he likes them or not.

Some users have said they don't like these, I for one can't see why not? only that they may have forgotten to break them in on the glass first and saw some marring done by their protective coats.

For someone who likes these, I'd recommend the mitts as I feel I'd personally be most comfortable with those instead of the towels.
The machine pads are a different story, they look great if you wanna use your DA and also can be used as hand pads if the hand pad holder is purchased.
 
If you already own a 3" Polishin' Pal it'll save you buying the hand pad holder for most areas you might use it.
 
Get the one for a da if you plan to polish. It's a lot less work, and marring is a non-issue if you're going to be polishing afterwards.
You could also use one meant for a da by hand with the poling-pal.
