I get a lot of interesting calls sometimes. Another detail that was beyond nasty.

The weather was way too cold for extraction on this detail, so I had to make do with my Tornador Black and Steam. Process was as follows:

Vacuum
Air Agitate with Tornador
Tornador cleaned hard surfaces using APC+ 1:10
Steam cleaned interior hard surfaces
Dressed hard surfaces using Optimum Protectant Plus (this was the last step before windows)
Presoaked carpets with Folex
Tornador cleaned carpets with CG Fabric Clean 1 oz in 32 oz Tornador bottle along with 2 oz. APC+. You will see why this was necessary in the pictures.
Steam cleaned carpets
Cleaned seats with APC+ 1:10, nylon brush.

This van had 124k+ miles on it, so the goal was just get it clean and deal with the biological hazards.

Here we go!...

Yuck, but nothing epic. Just really dirty.

Aaaaandd, it begins. Dog Puke. Lots of it.

Some misc. items in the center console.

Barely visible is all the trash under the seats. I filled half a 30 gallon trash bag with all of it. This was after it had been “emptied out”, haha! :)

Same pic after.

Driver’s side floor board after. Pic came out fuzzy.

This looks better! Some of the plastics had some staining that could not be removed.

Where the dog puke was. Not great lighting in this pic but you could not even tell it had been there.

Thanks for looking! Please keep the comments respectful, it was just a dirty van with some dog puke. :)

I can't imagine the assault on your sense of smell. Great work.

I hate minivans!! This is one I would have walked away from. More power to you for taking it on and getting these results.

yea...about that dog puke, I would use zep carpet with bleach on that

good job. I had one that bad a few moths ago. took me 12 hours inside and 12 hours outside. It was nasty. Never been detailed since new. It was a 2008 Honda van. 100k on it and 2 kids the whole time. YUCK.

Great job! Is that a used baby diaper under the seat? I did a similar job for a good friend of mine. Hard work but very gratifying, only problem is they mess it up again pretty quickly.

Great job. Another example of why I don't buy used cars as a good detailer can make them look so much better than they really are. I truly mean this as a compliment to detailers like Mark.

Thanks everyone. The details aren't a lot of fun to do sometimes but there is great satisfaction in making something like that "clean", even though it's not always beautiful.

LOL @ the baby diaper statement.... I thought the same

Great turnaround Mark. I am sure you wish you could have extracted those carpets. In a pinch, I do love my Tornador!

Yeah extraction would have been preferable to steam(except for the puke) in this situation, but the car is kept outside and I didn't have time for it to completely dry.

Yes, I found 2-3 diapers hidden amongst the trash.

Amazing what people could have it look like if they only would take care of their vehicles.
