So I have a buddy that has a Mazda 3 and the windows on one side have these really bad water. He used a buffer on it once but it didn't really help. He's tried all kinds of cleaners but nothing has ever worked. Any tips to take care of this?

I suggest white vinegar applied with a cloth. If that isn't affective, then white vinegar applied with an eraser bar. If this doesn't do the trick, then heavy duty glass polish.

this is new to me with a eraser bar?

i use ipa(rubbing alcohol 1:1 with distiled water) and a cloth. if that doesn't work then DA and megs ultimate compound.

white distiled vinegar should work also. or try lemon juice

@Pockets: Do your polishes contain cerium oxide? I find the polishes that do perform excellently on vehicle's glass areas. Thanks for any info you can share.

DP Glass Restorer ... hand or buffer.

:iagree:

Scott,

I was just going to suggest this.

DP Glass Restorer is quite a product! :props:

I've done 4 windshields with this and the results are absolutely amazing. Once complete, I cleaned the surface thoroughly then treated them with Aquapel.....:props:

A heavy duty gritty compound should work ..... be careful if you use a rotary....
excess heat + glass = unhappy customer. I have done this by hand (pain in the butt) with a heavy grit compound and came out great ..... worked very small areas.

been using wheel acid for years for water spots on glass and paint. anyone else? both require their own method, not recommended for a novice but very effective with little effort.
