Nattys Red is back!

Thanks - I will pick up some VIC's just reviewed the ingredients and it sounds like a mix I am looking for.

I've been curious. What's the difference between the Natty's Red and the original Natty's paste other than the color?

According to Steve, Natty's White is intended for all colors while Blue and Red were tweaked versions to enhance the appearance on certain colors (like Blue on dark paint).

I love the look of nattys red! I bought a 32ozer lasst year so i have more than I know what to do with not including all the other waxes I own. The only problem is my dumb self dropped the jar and the botton split so its being held together with duct tape

So the durability would be similar between the colors?

Yeah I love natty's waxes for the look and they are easy to use but any chance the that the durability could ever be improved without comprimising the beauty? I just hate to send it out the door on a car that I don't have a contract to maintain (where I know I can reapply at a frequent interval)

I wouldn't say natty red is a wet wax.. it is for me the best metallic flake popping wax but not a wet wax.

Am I missing something?
I recently bought some because of the hype. Just finished doing my truck, let dry to haze & buffed off. It removed more difficult than I would have liked. I thought it was a lot of work. Is this typical?

I applied it in the sun according to the directions. On in 20 min. Off in 30 min. Would the sun have this effect?

It shouldn't be a problem even in the sun. I used Natty's Blue a couple times (love it) in the sun and shade it came off very easily. I would assume the formulas are similar... Could you have put it on too thick or something?

Edit: I should add that my paint wasn't hot but was in the sun by the time I got to the waxing.

I learned the first time i used Natty's red, don't apply it in the sun. I had to bring the car i was working on into the garage, then i used SCG Speed Demon spray wax to get it off. To be honest, never use any wax in the sun, regardless of what the product company claims, you always end up using more product then necessary. The car came out amazing though. To poorboys defense, we do have very high humidity here in Houston. High temperature mixed with high humidity is detrimental to your process when using detailing products in the sun.

So, per the directions, does it absolutely have to haze before buffing off?

I've only used my PB Natty's red once ( so many waxes in my collection). But you can do the swipe test with your finger to test the wax to see if it's dry.

I would agree ... we tell people at shows ... put it on as thin as possible and when you think it's really thin, make it thinner...

as also stated before, variables like heat and humidity should be taken into account, and also when working in the sun I prefer to spit shine and put it on and take it right off instead of waiting for a haze.

One more point to make clear, yes our wax products can be used in the sun if you need to but, if you can work in some shade then it is advisable to do so :props:

I love PB's yet every time I've used Natty's it always leaves behind some form of residue or oil. Doesn't matter how thin I put it on. We have crazy humidity (some of the highest in the US) down here in southwest Florida, so maybe that is the issue. I rarely use these two waxes now.

one trick to dealing with your conditions is spit shining your car ... this is the way we do it on really hot humid days at shows ... we chill a bottle of Spray & Gloss ... then we go panel by panel ... spritz a little Spray and Gloss and then wipe the wax on real thin .. give it about 2 minutes and buff off. it is advisable to keep a cooler with ice near by to keep it cool when you are buffing if you do not have a fridge near where you are detailing.
You will love the results :xyxthumbs:

I would love to try a nattys red or blue in liquid form.
