I have a few of them, and a couple of the generic disc type ones. The issue isn't really how they work, but mostly the form factor.

I have pretty big hands, so holding them while I work an LSP over the surface of an entire car just makes my hands ache something fierce. I could just be being a baby, but nonetheless, it's my biggest complaint about them.

I've been considering getting a couple of those foam applicators that have the little hex shape on top, giving it an actual handle to hold on to.

although lately I’ve wondered if it would just be easier to take a foam applicator and load it up and transfer it to the finishing pad. The smaller pad just seems like it would be less wasteful.

I really hate applying stuff by hand lol

I never use them. They just sit in the master tote in the basement. One day I might bring myself to sell them.

The only time I use any pastes is when hand applying carnauba wax. Otherwise it's machine applying a sealant, or cleaner wax.

I also hate applying stuff by hand, but sometimes it's necessary.

Come to think of it I do have one of those from one of the headlight restoration kits I bought awhile back

Maybe I can trim down one of the many finishing discs I don’t use to put on it

They are not the most durable pads. I exercise extreme care in managing how I brush them out, and clean them. They can be temperamental, but the results are incredible.

If I'm going hard and heavy, I'm using a selection of standard Buff and Shine Grip Pads.

I'm fairly certain Buff and Shine makes the Griot's pads. They for sure make the CG Hex Logic pads.

I did mean 1 of “these”

I thought you meant 1 of those because you said it was Hex shaped, but now I get it, you were talking about the hex shape on the actual surface of the pad. I think I know which ones you mean now.

I bought 3 bottles of ULC, ULP, and ULP and boy did I go through the ULW...wondering if maybe I just I just overused the ULW...

Wanted to get a 2-pack of BOSS 5" MF cutting pads, but not in the cards today...
 
Will the gg 3” bp work with the HF da? Still looking for some info on what 3” bp to use with the hf da :( no luck..

Get the Griots 3” HD backing plate. It’s worth the extra couple of bucks.

I’m located at the southern most tip of Los Angeles, west of Long Beach. No pollen down here. Lol

Well I live about a mile away from the shore, but it’s not the beach
Instead it’s the port of LA and we’re also surrounded by the refineries down here which combines for quite possibly the worst air quality in the nation. If you want to see paint that fails baggie tests, come down here. Lol.
