During a detail last weekend, my hose decided to have a blowout...halfway through the wheel/tire cleaning of course...I hadn't even got to the paint washing yet. It was a Neverkink...and it kinked all over the place and actually the blowout was at a point where it had a permanent crease.

Wondering what hoses you all have had good luck with. Mostly I am looking for durability and kink resistance. Thanks.

Craftsman black rubber hose. Best hose I ever had. No kinks and very durable. Anything plastic is just junk.

Was just looking at these online actually. Looks like a lifetime warranty also...not sure what that covers, but craftsman is usually pretty good quality anything.

I've had mine for almost ten years now and never and issue they are pricey but the old saying goes you get what you pay for and this certainly fits the bill.

Yeah, that is what I use, but I did have one where the fitting blew off the end, however, since it was a Craftsman, I got a new hose for free after a little arguing.

The only problem with these is, just like your tires and rubber trim on your car, after a while in the sun, they oxidize and turn your hands (and clothes) black when you handle them.

This. 6 years and still like new. Three 50ft and one 75ft. A friend of mine actually ran over one of his 50 footers with the lawn mower ans they replaced it, no questions asked.

Swan Soft & Supple...exposed to the sun for 15 years and still going strong...with no black junk left on my hands. Outside 24/7/365 for 15 straight. Nuff said.

The Craftsmen is a good...even a great hose and will last a long time. My dad has had one for about 9 years kept inside the garage where the faucet is, but it leaves black gunk all over his hands. Aside from the black 'bloom' it is a quality hose.

I guess my best advice is:

Do your own 15 year review and make your own decision.

Went on Swan's website and the "newer models" aren't getting good reviews.

The Craftsmen is a great hose--stays flexible even in very cold weather, but I experienced the same issue with the black bloom on my 15 year old hose as well-started about 3 years ago. Couldn't find something I liked so took the hose back to Sears, explained the issue with the black bloom and they replaced the hose at no charge. Can't beat the lifetime warranty.

I have no issues with my Goodyear black rubber hoses. I've been using the same (2) 50' lengths for the past 6 years. Mine are stored inside when not in use and I do not have any issues with them leaving anything on my hands when handled. Typically available at your local home improvement box store.

I've been using one from ace hardware for years without any issues. Since it's related, what spray nozzle are you guys using? Mine recently decided to take a crap on me and I need a good replacement.

Water Right Inc.... has very good water hoses made from Polyurethane...not PVC.

Three versions:
-Slim & Light
-High Flow Series
-Professional Coil

The next one I'm getting is going to be 'dressed' in the always fashionable Eggplant-motif...

I bought a neverkink heavy duty,Made in usa, good hose, I think 100ft was about 30 bucks. I also have a little big shot nozzle on the end, Works really well and puts out alot of pressure for detail work
