Does using a soap like Reset, allow for less scrubbing via the mitt? Is that how "better" soaps work? Does the soap do a lot of the heavy lifting without scrubbing from the mitt? Whats the benefit of using a more expensive soap versus a cheaper one?At the top end, Carpro Reset. I keep trying to find something better, but nothing lines up all the ducks like Reset does. Can be used as a bucket wash or in a foam cannon.
I'm a huge fan of the Adam's soaps, the blue version is a great allrounder and superbly priced for you guys in the US. Mega Foam is brilliant too, it works great in a bucket despite the implications of the name.
DIY Incredable Suds is really, really good too. And as a wildcard, I also love Shine Supply Shift.
Any of the above will work in a bucket or foam cannon, have high lubrication and smell great.

Like most I would assume, I started washing cars in my early teens with a bucket of water, a sponge and some dish washing liquid from the kitchen. Looking back, I can't help but cringe, but we all start somewhere. Once my parents figured out washing cars was something I was into, they let me add a bottle of blue Armor All Streak Free Car Wash into the supermarket cart. Oh how I have progressed.
The following is 23-years' worth of trial and error using car wash soaps. With so many soaps to choose from on the market, it can be hard to sort the pretenders from the genuine...

The less scrubbing part is where your foam gun, attaches to your garden hose, comes into playDoes using a soap like Reset, allow for less scrubbing via the mitt? Is that how "better" soaps work? He didn't wanna get out the pressure washer, so I suggested the foam gun but yes, I should mention a quality pre-wash but I didn't wanna sound to pushyTell him the whole truth… He’d have to use a foam cannon and one of the touchless washes that you sometimes talk about to actually see an actual “difference” as far as that goes, right?
Carpro Reset isn’t going to magically mean you’ll scrub any less.. It just provides a much better user experience in every way, but you’ll still need to agitate the way you’ve always done.
Bilt-Hamber Touchless or Auto-foam for pre-wash and a product like Reset, Adam's graphene carwash or Bilt-Hamber AutoWash and your good to goYeah I have one of those...
I want everybody to "step it up" but kinda tread lightly as not to be too pushy but yes, this is how I do a 2BM wash, pre-wash choice change based on how dirty the car is and/or how long it's been since a decon wash. He's not using a coating so the Bilt-Hamber twins might not be an option but regardless, a pre-wash of some kind should ALWAYS be in the mix, can't even consider a traditional wash w/o doing oneNow that’s what “stepping your game up” actually looks like^…
Now it all depends on how crazy you really want to dive in…
not that crazy haha! my life is too busy now to really keep doing what Im doing detailing wise. I'll never give it up but Im no where as crazy about it as I was years ago.Now that’s what “stepping your game up” actually looks like^…

I believe NXT came out in 2004.I took it back to circa 2008 and I’m about to try this soap for the 1st time because I slept on it the 1st time around.
I find that if the vehicle has a decent LSP with even mild self cleaning properties Reset can make a good pre-wash. It’s strong but gentle if you know what I mean. But, considering how much time we all spend taking care of our vehicles and how invested we are in maintaining them, I say drop a few extra pennies and get a bottle of Touch-Less and a quality pH neutral soap be it Hyperwash, Incredible Suds or Reset. Looking at how soft modern paint is, it’s worth going the extra step with a quality pre-wash. I can’t count the number of people I come in contact with that tell me they use the 2BM and still have swirled paint because they go straight for the contact wash, rinse and dry.I want everybody to "step it up" but kinda tread lightly as not to be too pushy but yes, this is how I do a 2BM wash, pre-wash choice change based on how dirty the car is and/or how long it's been since a decon wash. This is my vote. I've tried a few soaps and this is the one I come back to. Once my 3D Pink is all used up, I'll just stick with it.Hard to beat old Meguiar's Hyper Wash, especially at Harbor Feight, $30 a gallon. You like it, it works. And a hard to beat price. Grab a coupon from HF and get % off too.

You can get it on Amazon, I think it was also Eldo who posted about it originally, I went over to the Meg's forum to ask if they started making it again, and IIRC got a convoluted answer about how it's still made for foreign markets and it's not supposed to be sold here but they can't control that or something. If I close my eyes I can smell it. Good product! Where did you find it?
Apparently that thick "soap" with the scrubbing abrasives or whatever is still made for foreign markets as wellYou can get it on Amazon, I think it was also Eldo who posted about it originally, I went over to the Meg's forum to ask if they started making it again, and IIRC got a convoluted answer about how it's still made for foreign markets and it's not supposed to be sold here but they can't control that or something.
