Need a new soap - Anything new or worth trying?

Apparently that thick "soap" with the scrubbing abrasives or whatever is still made for foreign markets as well

Wash Plus I believe it was called and everyone wanted to try it AFTER it didn't sell here and they discontinued it

I would still try it
I almost bought that to try on something at work...but $25. Hm...I have tons of clay, I wonder if that would work? Maybe it wasn't Eldo who posted about that stuff. I just looked in my Amazon cart and the Wash Plus+ is "currently unavailable" but the NXT wash still is.

PS Meg's was always like that with the consumer products, they gave stuff one season and if it didn't sell, it got the heave-ho.

Just checked Amazon and NXT is still available through them but it says mfg has discontinued it, I'm wondering if I should get one. I'm questioning how it would work on a coated car come this spring

Klasse, as good as that soap smelled, it's got a lot of polymers in it that will monkey around with your beading, presuming it can stick to your coating. Gold Class and NXT were cloggers, that would make you think your LSP was shot, back in the wax/sealant days.

Yeah, nothing left behind, circa our 2004 understanding of what that meant.

PS These soaps had, "gloss enhancers". Which everybody liked until we got into more durable sealants, and then everyone wanted a soap without gloss enhancers, that tended to kill the beading. As I have brought up before, and I'll credit SwanicYouth and PiPUK with revealing some things about beading, sheeting, clogging and stripping. Looks like we lost the pictures with the forum upgrade.

Have you tried Hyper wash?

Hyper Wash can be bucket or foam cannon. Consentrated soap.
I may have to get some some for next spring, it's a pure wash, right? Also, how much goes in the 2BM wash?

I have not, seems to be very popular. Do you use as a pre-wash and/or 2BM

I use it as both. It has enough "oomph" to keep a coating clog free, yet it won't strip a wax or sealant. The perfect maintenance soap in my humble opinion.

Well, I should add a Meg's product into my collection, afterall, years before joining AG, I was almost 100% Mequiars

Hyperwash will foam a lot so i've learned to fill the bucket most of the way, add the soap and then spray to build the foam. Otherwise, the bucket will overflow with suds before you can get much water into it. Instructions say 1 oz per 5 gallons of water, which is actually 640:1. 400:1 is closer to 1 oz per 3 gallons.

Reset and BH Autowash are both good as well. I wouldn't use Reset every time as they state it can diminish LSPs but it does have more oomph if you need it.

Anyone know what the scent is in Hyperwash? And yeah, it foams very well out of a cannon.

That's weird, I got the 400:1 off the Meg's product page I linked above, but now looking at the back label on Amazon, it says "Dilution 400:1" and right underneath that it says 1 oz per 5 gallons. Someone at Meg's seems to be bad at math.

I think someone previously mentioned one of the dilutions being from commercial application or something like that.

You can get it on Amazon, I think it was also Eldo who posted about it originally, I went over to the Meg's forum to ask if they started making it again, and IIRC got a convoluted answer about how it's still made for foreign markets and it's not supposed to be sold here but they can't control that or something.
Think it is/was the same for Wash+ from Meguiar's. I bought some awhile ago and it came from the UK via Amazon. Arrived mostly intact though... just don't think there's many places to get it.

I see right now it's unavailable on Amazon again

EDIT - I scrolled more and see that soap was discussed next. I guess I was lucky when I bought it in Feb

I don’t know what the scent is, but it’s subtle that’s for sure. I think that was done on purpose because it was intended for commercial use and if you’ve got employees having to work with it day in and day out, the last thing you want to do is overwhelm them with a strong scent that could get people tired of it or even worse give them a headache.

As far as 1st impressions of the NXT soap… It’s a good soap, scent is kinda funky the same way Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere is funky, suds in the bucket are excellent, suds in the foam cannon are good not super great, lubricity is excellent, rinsing ability was good but I rinsed it with the power washer, I’ll have to see how it rinses with the garden hose.
