Last week i bought myself a Peugeot 106 Rallye (a soon to be track-toy) The car is finished in a single stage blue paint called Blue Santorin.
The previous owner resprayed the car in 2001 and the paint is in reasonably good shape. However a lot of swirls are present and i want to get rid of as many of them as possible.
Some paint chips and scratches will be fixed by a professional painter before i do anything.
What should i get to refurb my "not so old" paint and keep it shiny?
Was thinking 360 and the XMT swirl removers. Good on single stage paint, or would something like Poorboys be a better choice?
Maybe some kind of paint cleaner to get any old soap off the paint? Degreaser?
A rundown of how you would attack an old car that probably has not seen any polish or wax since the respray in 2001 would be very helpful.
And of course which products you would use. I am not so sure as to how i should go about this.
Here is a picture of the car so you know what kind of color i will be using the products on.
