Need advice with light clear coat scratches on new 2018 Accord

I can't comment on the Megs or the coating as I've never used any of those products.

My comment is specifically addressing WG Swirl Remover and F-Glaze (which I own and have used) being two steps and most lilkey not needed. Any polishing step will most likely remove the coating (I'm not a fan of coatings) so I have never personally tried removing one.

Oh ok. So assuming I find something that will remove the WG Uber ceramic coating, all I may need is to use the Ultimate Polish with a white (assuming) LC CCS pad to remove the light scratches instead of the 2 step which to your point sounds less work intensive and time consuming?

Here is my take as a hobbyist and not a pro.

First, coatings require perfect preparation in order to be truly effective. I don't think there is much disagreement for this. I consider myself an advanced hobbyist with a lot of pro products and equipment but I do not have the confidence in myself to even think about attempting the application of coating to any of our vehicles. It requires care, thoroughness and a dust-free, preferably indoor environment to do correctly.

That said, until you have the budget to get something like a GG6 DA polisher I would just try to maintain your coating-over-paint the way it is using a spray wax to keep it protected. Once you get a decent DA, pads and appropriate products you will be amazed what you can do. At this point I would not abrade any more of your clearcoat until you are ready to get those scratches out for good.

This is just my take as someone who made a lot of mistakes, bad purchases and used some bad techniques while learning proper methods and techniques along the way. This is a craft like cabinet-making, carpentry, plumbing, etc. It requires a learning curve that is thankfully enjoyable to traverse as you develop your skills and expertise.

So to make sure I understand, I can use a DA polisher and the Meguire's Ultimate Polish and that should remove the current WG Uber Ceramic coating, take care of the light scratches, and then re-apply the Ceramic coating without needing to use the WG Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze? And if so, should I use the Orange or White LC CCS pad? I purchased one of each.

Thanks!

Any abrasive polish will remove it. No need to get super aggressive.
