I know that sounds like an odd question but there seems to be a bit of debate whether or not Ford's Mineral Grey contains metal flake. I am asking because it very well may help steer towards a specific final wax.

So what do the experts here think? Metal Flake or no Metal Flake?

i think it is just very fine metal flake..not huge chunks

clearly metallic ....

I've seen some use the term (possiby incorrect) "metallic" as paint that includes metal flake. Is that what you mean?

Looks like flake to me

So what are you going to use with flake vs non flake?

Considering either XMT180 or Natty's Red for flake or SSII or MAYBE Souveran for flat, solid color. I have put Natty's Blue on it and it didn't look bad, just looking for a little more.

People use max wax or signature series II for flakes, if ur going the paste route :). I have Signature Series II and love it.

I have used SS2 and i loved it on my metallic dark blue integra, best paste wax Ive ever used, I compared it against Natty's Blue(although loved the scent) and S100.

Yeah I thought it contained a flake, albeit smaller peices than normal, but some swear up and down there isn't.

TCB: I don't know if it's your camera, lighting, or other factor, but that looks like Ford's Dark Shadow Gray. Mineral Gray had a brownish tint to the metallic paint.

My Mach 1 is dark shadow gray and I swear, the coloring is exactly like that!

Do 'em all and see what looks best.

Trust me man...it is MG. One of only 154 Mineral Grey convertible Termi's made. :righton:

The so called brownish tint only really occurs when the sun is just right.

It might the lighting. I took it in a closed garage with just a 60 watt bulb on.
