Hi guys

Im about to place my order and i need to get some info asap!.
My brother has a red 1992 jetta and the paint is faded(aka oxidation), i was wondering what is a good product to buy to fix this problem. In my shopping cart i have the meg twins, would that be good enough ?

i did a research and found this http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...w-car-finish-antique-single-stage-paints.html but the cars used there are old so i dont know if the paint and process used are going to be as efficient in the newer cars paint.

thank you!!

The megs twins are plenty strong to handle oxidation. Make sure you havw enough pads too

I have never worked with an oxidized paint job before. Would you recommend an orange pad with the M105?

Get some D151 along with the twins and let us know what you think.

Yes, I have become a huge fan of these type AIO polishes. Even though it may not be able to correct all of the flaws on it's own, a polish like D151, XMT 360 or Poorboy's PwS is a must for the arsenal, IMO.

IMHO, I would try Ultimate Compound on an orange cutting pad first and see what kind of results that gives you. Then you can bump up to the M105/M205 combo if need be. Since the paint is oxidized, I would follow up with something like M07 Show Car Glaze to give it some polishing oils. I restored a faded red Mustang by hand using UC, M07, and NXT 2.0, although a DA makes it so much faster.
