I have a silver 2012 accord with great paint and taken care of. I hired a detailer recently to clay and wax my car and the car looked great afterwards. Id like to do it every three months and dont want to have to pay him everytime. So ive been reading a lot and heres what I came up with.

1. Wash Car with Meguiars Gold
2. Iron X Car and wheels
3. Wash car to remove Iron X
4. Dry Car and Clay Paint
5. Seal the Car
6. Wax the Car

Some questions I have Are.

Do i need a polish in somewhere in here?
Is iron X really necessary?
I plan on buying a rotator the griots garage 6 in. I use this for the polishing if i do it and also the wax right?
How about the sealant? I already have Ultima paint Guard Plus is that fine for the sealant part?

Sounds like you're off to a great start. If you have swirls or are not satisfied with shine/depth of paint, you may want to polish. Without pics, we don't know. If you polish, you do it between claying and sealing. Iron x dissolves ferrous materials. (Iron based) If it was done recently, and veh is well kept as you mention, it may not be necessary. And thirdly, if you get a polisher, yes you you would use it to polish and to seal or wax. I have not used the product you mentioned. A sealant usually is advertised to last 4-6 months and waxes aprox. 1-2 months. Generally a sealant is used instead of a wax, but there are many of us that just can't stop and we wax also. Have fun, I hope you find it relaxing. If you don't, let someone else do it.

I have like no swirls in my paint and if i do it'd be very very small because every time i wash it I don't see any even in direct sunlight. And I am happy with the paint currently on the car. So I'm thinking that I dont need a polish at the moment.

When it comes to pads for the rotator where do i start? just for the waxing part the ultima sealer comes with a microfiber applicator that i like

1. Wash Car with Meguiars Gold
2. Iron X Car and wheels
3. Rinse really well to remove Iron X
4. Clay Paint
5. Wash & Dry
6. Seal the Car
7. Wax the Car

Polish would go between 5 & 6

Is Iron X necessary every time? Debatable depending on many circumstances.

Yes, you can use a Griots DATo apply wax. I do and it saves time I love my Griots machines.

Well, I'll make a recommendation based on products I use:
Chemical Guys V36 with orange 6.5" Hex Logic Pad
Then V38 with White 6.5" Hex Logic pad. I use this combo often on customer vehicles. You can go a bit more in depth depending on paint condition.
