I recently bought a PC starter package and needed some advice on what products to use so that my car can look really good.

MY major problem area is my hood.

I found some rubbing compound in my garage made by 3m but this is my first time really detailing my car completely

What products came in the package? Get me the link to see what you have. Then we can add to it.

I believe he is looking for advice on what package to purchase. From the looks of the paint on that car a would go with Meguiars 105/205 combo if you have a PC. If you're applying compound by hand, 3M makes numerous compounds you can use. I just don't know which one you have.

I bought the "Perfect Starter Kit" with the PC 7424XP

I also own these products:
Meguiar’s #7 Show Car Glaze
Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax
Meguiar’s #9 Swirl Remover
Meguiar’s #26 Hi-Tech Liquid Wax
3M Perfect-It 3000 Rubbing Compound

I would just suggest getting a bottle of M105 and M205 if you want to stay with Megs. These 2 will both handle anything that comes your way. Or you could go with menzerna like PF 203, 106FA and 85RD. Then you can use your NXT or #26 after polishing. I would also get 3 of each pad(orange, white, grey and blue). Don't forget to get some micrfibers

These are what I use. Someone else might be able to say how good #9 works.
