Need help removing oil overspray

Hi guys, yesterday I coated the underbody of my car with rust check in preparation of the upcoming winter. What I didn't realize was that the car is now entirely covered in a fine mist of oil overspray from the cans. If I take it to a touchless car wash will that remove most of the oil spray or not really? It's just I rather not sacrifice one of my wash mitts unless I need to. Thanks

If you want to find out real quik, you could just spray your entire car with something like Megs D114@1:128 and rinse it off with a strong stream from your hose. At least then you'll know how hard it's going to be to wash off.

If that doesn't improve the situation, the touchless car wash will be your next step.

And if that doesn't work then you'll be sacrificing your mitt, yea.

Alright fair enough. Now, do you think it'll be necessary to re-wax? As I assume the oil spray and and wax mix together as they're both hydrophobic? I suppose I'll know if it doesn't bead water lol...

Carwash or apc will not remove that .Go to Home Depot and buy some mineral spirits and disposable rags.Then wash then polish.If it's on the glass use a razor blade or fine steel wool.mineral spirits will shrivel you wiper blades so don't get some on there

My 1st thought would be the aggressive scrubbing with the washmitt would be what might remove the layer of wax, not the oil.. But like you said, you'll know once you're done cleaning it all off.

Update: Neither hosing off with apc or touchless car wash worked. If anyone encounters this issue skip ahead and go straight to two bucket wash with a mitt. Toss the mitt afterwards

So just a bucket wash cleaned it off? You didn't have to add anything to the wash?
