Raleigh NC Lexus dealership forgot the name of it pays there detailers 70k.I was going to take a mgr detail position at a Honda dealer here in south fla.I became good friends with the management team that was starting this new dealer and that's what they all told me.Do I believe it maybe not,but there was no reason to lie about it.

I believe that 100%. The dealership told me our auto group is the only one that has detailing department right now at the automall. The neighbhoring dealerships are having such a hard time finding full time detailers because there is a shortage of people interested in that trade here right now. He;s right because not many people think of detailing cars.
 
Sorry I'm kinda late to this party but I would vote for #2 (PDR) as well. I would like to have that skill and offer it along with detailing for additional $$$.

Went from marine mechanic/carpenter/electrician/plumber, and general maintenance at a marina
to basically the same job description (minus the marine part) at a newly renovated beach hotel/restaurant. Lol
 
did you guys ever go to school for the field you are in? I wasted time and money back then to learn welding, mechanics, and network management. Never enjoyed any of them. I am really hoping PDR as well as implementing tinting, detailing alongside will be something stable for myself and my family for the future. I have nothing but stress

I never went to school for any of the things I do. I just always had the aptitude for them, and learned things over the years. I really enjoy fixing and building things.

I hope whatever you decide to do, you enjoy it. And I wish you nothing but the best. :)
