I happen to know from snooping that my loving wife is giving me a nice size AG gift certificate for Xmas. I have been looking at the Clear Inline Hose Filter for some time now but have not wanted to spend the $$. Now that I will have "found money" and considering the 20% off till 12/26, I was thinking of getting this little toy. Anyone have comments on how well it works and how it works with a foam gun (that is, does it reduce the water pressure too much?). I do have a hard water problem here in the Phila., Pa. area. Thanks much and a very very happy and healthy holiday season to all my new found geek friends.

Thanks - in my haste to get a quick answer I broke the cardinal rule of not doing a search before posting

No problem, hope the link helped. Sparkie did a really nice write-up and the results were amazing. Are you going to get the system? This is a friendly forum and we don't chastise people for asking before they search. :grouphug:

I think I am. This is one of those items in the catagory that I really want but don't want to spend the money since there are other detailing products I want more. Since I just bought a bunch of AG products I'm not in need of those "more important" items thus freeing up this new found money for a toy. The irony of all this is that while my wife was generous enogh to get me a GC, I end up paying the bill. So in essence, I'm really buying it for myself!!! But thats OK - now I won't get the "look" when Brown once again arrives at my house.

My take based upon all the comments, is it clearly works at reducing waterspots and mineral deposits. In some places, it might be a better idea to install a dark versus clear covering to avoid algae or mold however.

I definitely plan on buying the 2-part system come spring. I have well water here and so it will be very very helpful.

I've used that Mr.Clean mechanism before, and although it works pretty well, the filter needs to be changed every third wash for me:mad:
