Need paint system information: MBenz 300 SEL

I'm looking for information on factory paint (so I am told) for a 1990 Mercedez Benz 300 SEL. The color is similar to a steel blue, or gun metal gray.

Obviously, I could call a Benz dealer to get this information, but none are open in my area on a Sunday.

I've been approached about doing some detailing work on this car and want to find out what I can about the paint system before I begin.

I'd appreciate any information you can provide if you've ever worked on one of these. Products, pads, speeed, soft/hard paint, etc.

Look on drivers door jamb,,for mercedes paint code..
Example mercedes blue is code 744

Thanks. I will look on the door when I get an opportunity to get a chance to see the car.
